I'm the same way. I didn't used to be like that, but my bf got me into the bad habit!

There are a few things that you could do that aren't bad for your health, but if you're really desparate (which I am sometimes) something that works REALLY good is tylenol PM... you take two, get on the computer or read for like 20 mins, and you feel TOTALLY relaxed..its such a great feeling.....then you can fall asleep really quickly :-) So if you wanna go to bed at ten, take it around 9:30-9:45.. :-)

I know people are probably gonna complain about this answer and tell you NOT to do it cause it can get addicting and stuff (well its NOT addicting.. I've been doing it about once a week and if I don't feel I need it i dont use it.. i'm not addicted..nor is it addicting.. UNLESS i guess if you take it every night..)

But I'm telling you, it WORKS.. (dont take more than two though....)

Well, I've always heard that exercising early in the day helps you to sleep better at night. Do you exercise or walk or anything like that? I don't sleep well either. I tend to wake up and then I can't get back to sleep. I think eventually our body will sleep. Some people don't need as much sleep as others. Ten o'clock seems a bit early to expect to sleep. Watch something really boring, when it's soon time for bed. Maybe that will help.

go to bed earlier. 8 or 9. dont eat anything about an hour before you go to sleep. or drink anything with sugar, either. warm milk helps.
make sure there is no noise, and if you are worried about something, or anxious about the next day, that can always prevent sleep...

Try Tylenol pm. Take it when you want to go to bed and you should sleep like a baby.
