Your hair does what it wants; the only way to change that is some kind of perm or using an iron of somekind. I honestly suggest trying to find a style that works WITH your hair's natural tendencies, and not against. However, I understand wanting to have straight hair.
Different cuts can create the illusion of straight hair, and also many products out there alleviate frizz and other characteristics of curly/wavy hair. As far as making it actually straight, you have to use a flat iron. I suggest investing in a good one like a Chi. They're expensive, but ceramic flat irons are better for your hair and will not damage it as much, especially if you plan on doing this for a long time. Check online or beauty supply shops.

I use a Straightening iron. You need to get a decent one also. I would suggest going to a beauty supply store and purchasing one in the $50 range or higher. And the thin ones I thing are better than the large straighteners. They work fast.

I would try a really good straightening/flattening iron... Chi is probably one of the best, but they run you about $150. Make sure to get a straightener that gets good and hot- ceramic is probably the best for this. Try using an anti-frizz serum when using a straightener as well- it tends to keep from frying your hair as much.

Buy a Babyliss ceramic straightener, it heats up to 205 degrees, and you can adjust it to whatever heat you want. After straighting you should use Biosilk Silk Therapy for your hair. ( you put a dime-sized amount in your hand and smooth it all over your hair- it gets rid of frizz and keeps hair in place even on hot and humid days)

My hair is only wavy, but what works good for me is the Matrix Sleek-Look line. Its awesome! Then after I blow dried it, I used a straitener. It doesnt take too long either. Good luck!

you can get a straightener.
it straightens your hair (i think) until it gets wet from like swimming, a shower, or high humidity.
