My 1year - old dog Sasha has tear stains under her eyes. Any ideas of how to get rid of them?

Two things have the vet check her tear ducts to see if they are not blocked-certain breeds have this problem and have him/her check to see if their are any inverted eyelashes(easily,painlessly) that could be causing this and remove them.After this is done you can gingerly with a warm facecloth clean under the eyes with a store bought cleanser but have the problem fixed it will make you and your pet so much more happy.

I am not sure if you have a maltest or not, but the information below comes from the AKC. I am sure it is applicable for other breeds with tear stains.

Try adding scorbate powder to her meals (Vitamin C). It should clear up in no time. Solid Gold makes Scorbate Powder. Link is below.

get some cloths from a pet store like petco or petsmart. thats should get rid of them.

cut the hair around her eyes and clean them up once in a while.

other then washing her eyes everyday...there isn't much you can do
