yes, first off, if your hair is too long to keep the curl, you want to try a curling shampoo when you feel like wearing your hair curly, even wavy. try clairol herbal essence totally twisted (visit their website to get a $1.00 off coupon). it's great and gives your natural wave that extra bounce. it will also help you style your hair curly. what you need to do to curl it manually is to buy yourself a good quality set of hot rollers, try any set by conair, they're gentle on your hair and work really great! to begin, spray each strand w/volumizing hair spray right before you roll your hair. that will set the curl in place and add a little volume to keep the curls longer.

good luck!

Temporary Curl Hair

it use rollers - anyones will do.. but dont start at the end and curl them up.. put the roller at the root of ur hair and turn the hair around the curler - this will create more of a wavy curl, then a little girl curl. just make sure ur use big sections and if they are too tight.. take a straitener and just lightly clasp it on the tight parts for less then a second (dont actually use it like u were to straiten ur hair, just put the tight curl in it and close it lightly for a half of a second) and pull the curl down. u can try hot rollers also, a tip for these.. practice and use the big ones first. also once all the hot rollers are out of ur hair, lightly twist it up into a towel liek u just got out of the shower and leave it for a while.. this will keep ur hair from weighing its self down while the curls cool off. i hope this helps!

Here is the perfect solution.....
Okay I used to have waist length hair and it took me like 5 hours to curl my hair, talk about a waste of time. What I did is spray my hair with a EXTRA-STRONG hold hairspray and when my hair is wet, flip it upside down, and blow dry with a curling brush. Then I brush through my wet hair and curled all my natural layers form cutting my hair, but if you need a heat protectant use Tresemme heat and damage hair protector. It looks like a spray bottle. When your done, curl your layers if you want a wispy look, and spray over again if your hair is really thick. Then twist up the curls and squeeze the curls in your hand after you rub pomade all ove rthen to sepearte and cute flying ends and tame the stray flyaways. Blow dry your hair for about another 5 minutes and just scrunch hair lightly, though to not mess up ur curls. GOOD LUCK

For a long term affect, try products that work to make your hair lighter. Get a hair cut that layers your hair and alleviates some of the weight.

For a short term fix, braiding your hair, or wrapping it up in small buns when it's wet and letting it dry will curl hair naturally, just be careful about the position and direction.

To help with damage, try using vitamin complexes for your hair. I suggest Tea Tree Oil.

I do a wet french braid with hair spray. It is not exactly curls, but it adds body. I let it dry before taking it down. I do not brush or it takes out the body. I just arrange it with my fingers and put in a hair band or barrette if I want. It stays until I wash it. Experiment with it. It might work with moose or other product also. You just need to give it something to hold it. Hope that helps. It should not hurt your hair. I was in a ballet dance recital and figured out this by accident after taking my hair down. It came out great for the next performance (jazz dance) I was in right after. I had great hair full of body if was fun and playful after the formal ballet hair.

I have been looking for that answer for a long time... my best deal is when I get out of the shower and my hair is still wet I simply do two french braids then sleep on it when I wake up in the morning (they should be fully dry by then) I take the braids out and put Garnier Fructis curl defintion something in it...It always looks awesome and If you part your hair to the side, braid with a center part b/c when you take the braids out and re-part your hair it adds awesome body...

it depends on how fast you want it done. if it's the next day well then put it in rollers there's alot of different ones out there. many don't hurt when your sleeping. you could do curl rags., maybe brade it different size brades will give different size waves. I use to do my daughters that way. tons of little brades it took me about a hour but it looked great the next day. or you could try a water perm. my suggestion if you hair is hard to curl try using mouse or hair gel so it will stay & last longer.

there are alot of ways a perm damages your hair more than a curling iron.a body perm doesnt harm it as much as a perm does but more than a curling iron.and braids are very time consuming.so maybe get a friend or someone to braid your hair too. two people one head much faster.

good luck!!

After you wash your hair but individual brades all over then sleep with them or let your hair dry with them in. After your hair is dry or when you wake up take out the brades and you will have very cute loss curls
