I would say probably not. Most vets don't even suggest that you bring your dogs there.

1. Does your toddler have any fear of dogs?
2. Will you be able to stay close enough to your toddler in case a dog got too aggressive?
3. Even if dog owners clean up after their dogs, they are not required to sanitize the grass and dirt. Think about your toddler falling down and/or playing on the ground.
If something happens to your child, you can't very well blame the dog owners for using the park. You say it's the closest park, but there are many many parks for children. Dog owners may have to travel many miles to find a place that allows for their pets.

Why not.. it teaches the toddler a love for animals.. I am assuming that you are not going to take the toddler to the middle of the dog park and leave it though..

DOG PARK. Why would you subject a poor toddler to dogs running, slobbering and chasing each other, nothing for him to play on, nothing to do but hide from the dogs that may be agressive towards a toddler...find another one and suck up driving a tad further....

I would say not. The park isn't designed for children, and the park may not be saniatery for the child to play in.

try other parks if you have a choice so you could avoid fleas.

No. That's just gross. Dogs POOP there, hello!!! Do you really want your kid playing where dogs poop all the time?
