I was just asked to be a matron of honor in a good friends wedding. I myself was just married 2 years ago and had an aweful maid of honor (too young). I want to be the BEST! Any websites or advice would be helpful! Thank you!

It completely depends on the bride. I think that the best thing you can do is support her and be there for her in this stressful time. She'll probably be really emotional with highs and lows, and will look to you for help. Just be interested - and also, I know it sounds weird but don't complain about her to a lot of people. It will probably get back to her - I've seen it happen a bunch of times - and she'll just be hurt in the end. Good luck, and she's lucky to have you!!

Plan a nice shower, ask how you can help bride. Do not take over, but try to be there for her. Keep bridesmaid in some sort of order. My daughter had one bridesmaid that never showed up for anything, was a pain when she did - it was all about her.
Maid of Honor pulled her aside & asked her if she wanted to be in wedding or needed to be replaced? It took a load off of my daughter. The bridesmaid straighten up & acted correctly.
