Check for antifreeze toxicity; if your vet can't or won't, go somewhere else. This isn't the only possibility but it has to be ruled out ASAP.
Trauma, other neurotoxins, or a stroke-like condition could also be the cause. The cat should have a full workup in any event.

because that's got here about more advantageous than once, that's not stroke proper (till the cats all are having strokes as a results of a chemical on your section). If this replaced into ingested and that's brought about with the help of a poisonous reaction, it ought to educate up on a blood try. you extremely opt to envision with your vet---HOW is the cat getting it and the position is she getting it. If she's interior, you're in all probability searching at a diverse chemical than nightshade. Cats do not devour feces. they don't chew on nightshade (a minimum of not the cats we've the following, I pull the stuff up, yet not some thing has ever chewed on it except insects). Are you particular there is not a backyard remedy or container spraying happening that's getting on the cat and being ingested even as the cats sparkling themselves? some thing farm proper? (And certain, even farms may have indoor cats. My sister has numerous that are interior in common words on her dairy farm).

The vet is sure he is blind? Is it possible he is having seizures or in a state of coma?? Was blood work done? X-rays. I would say take your cat to another vet or ask for a referral to a specialist

It could be a tumor pressing on the optic nerve. You had better get an X-ray.
