Its hard to say if they are good or bad but at the moment they are a bit pricy. So if you wait for a while, they will come down in price. The quality should be the same for HDV camcorders but the real quality also depends on the make and the lens they use. The Sony's are the best in camcorders but poor in digital cameras.
