Taken a single course involving Grammar? Most of the time, I seriously wonder.

The things that look like honest mistakes, typos or whatever, don't bother me as much as when people take shortcuts with the language. Things like "u" instead of "you" and "4" instead of "for."

I wish people would reserve that stuff for chat rooms and text messaging, since the idea here is to really communicate, not just pass along some cutesy substitute for communication.

Well you know what I wonder. I wonder why people like you are so worried about the way people talk anyway. It seems like ever time i post a question so azzhole haves to start about the way i spell or my grammar. Why do you and people like you make a big deal out of nothing. You seem to be able to read the question but NOOOO you have to make a federal case out of it because of something stupid like grammar or spelling. Why don't you KNOW IT ALL'S get a life and quit warring so much about something as stupid as this!!!

I think it's "cool" now with the kids to have bad grammer.

It really irritates me to see it. Not the kids but the fact that this is now somehow acceptable.

Roadrunner I just read one of your earlier post and my heart was touched by your story. I got misty reading your post. Hang in there, be a great mom to your girls. If you need anything in preparation for 2038, say like firearms instruction, you can call on me!

Never mind grammar and spelling. I'm amazed at the number of people who seem to be typing in random words that don't even mean anything when you put them all together.

And yet, have you ever noticed how those people are the ones who get offended and defensive and call those of us who can spell and use proper grammar "idiots" or "stupid" or "mean"? And that we should have more patience and understanding for them. I don't think so!!

Don't forget that a lot of people are anti-intellectual, and will "dumb themselves down" to try and fit in and look like a gangsta or something. They will talk ghetto, even upper-middle-class white kids who are several generations removed from any kind of poverty.

I am surprised that the people who access Yahoo! even know how to turn on a computer.

i can usually figure out what they're trying to say so i don't worry too much about it unless the question is attacking someone else for some reason.
