I was raised Catholic and then when I was around 12 or 13, I became an atheist. Atheism wasn't very fulfilling, so I began searching for a belief system that made sense to me. I studied quite a few religions. Islam, hinduism, baha'i, buddhism, shamanism, Wicca and other forms of paganism until I finally happened across a belief system that made sense to me. It wasn't until after many years of studying this religion did I actually begin to accept it and indentify with it.

I know it's teachings are correct because they have made a positive difference in my life and it's never said anything that I didn't allready know or feel to be correct.

Being Agnostic never made any sense to me because there is more to a religion than just reading about it and "accepting" beliefs to be true. I have found that the most important thing about a religion are the actions which you perform, be it worship or ritual, and the way they alter the individuals behavior and thought process. To me, Agnosticism seems to be the way to go for people who really aren't interested in religion.

I was born into my religion of Catholicism. I believe the teachings are correct to a point. I don't believe the entire Bible literally, but I get the moral from the story. I think it would be easier to be Catholic over Agnostic, because I believe in the what the Catholic religion believes in for the most part.

I didn't "find" my religion, God decided to save me from eternal hell. I was not born into my religion.
I am the first in my family to be a Christian, which was a struggle. Because of all the things I have gone through, I know that the Bible is tried and true.
Why would I want to be an agnostic?

Religion was never spoken of in my family while I was growing up. My parents took us twice a year....at Christmas and Easter; however, I was in all of the programs, Sunday School, and confirmation classes. I think that my parents enrolled me in all of that stuff so they wouldn't look bad.

I was raised Lutheran, but never really knew what that meant until recently. My husband is Catholic so we found a church that is Christian....anyone, of any religion can go as long as you are a beleiver in Christ. It has done wonders for our mental health and marriage. We, too, volunteer at church and joined a bible study group. I look forward to it each and every week as it just makes me feel so much better as a person and it makes me want to be a better person.

I was not born into my religion. I did not have to convert. I know that the beliefs of my religion are correct for me because they are evidenced in nature.

I didn’t find it. I’ve always been open to new thoughts & ideas. My religion (paganism) allows people to explore other belief systems & follow them along with it. I didn’t realize a religion allowed that till I was 12. So, I guess that’s when I started considering myself pagan.

I don’t know that it’s the “right one” but it’s one of the most open and accepting of others beliefs that i've come accross.

I was raised christian. I began having doubts about it and they went on for some time. I met my agnostic boyfriend and I decided my questioning god's existence pegged me as agnostic too.

When I was a teenager I became disenchanted with Christianity and went and explored other avenues, and came across Paganism. It just clicked with me and I've been Pagan for 10 years now.

I was never one to believe everything I was told.

First God inserted Himself into my life, and worked a couple of miracles for me...

And then I started studying the Bible to find out more about Him...

Then I found a church that actually believes EVERYTHING that the Bible says.

I have found great peace in my life. God is passionately in love with me, and with you. And that is a truly delightful feeling!
