Maui No Ka Oi! (maui is the best)
It is a nice balance between the urban oahu and the beautiful but boring Kauai.
It also has neighboring islands that you can travel to for the day: Lanai and Molokai.
It has wonderful snorkling (try po'olenalena beach or honolua bay)

My favorite island varies frequently. My favorite island is the one I am on at the time. Each is beautiful and each has its special charms. Oahu is my home island and I still enjoy the activity and excitement of Waikiki, and the escape to the North Shore. Kauai is my favorite island for activities -- there are so many ways to enjoy the scenery. Maui has the most resort and spas, making it a perfect island for luxurious indulgence. The Big Island is the only place to see an active volcano and a great place to go swiming with dolphins and turtles.
What kinds of things do you enjoy seeing and doing? Are you traveling alone? Do you think you might get back to Hawaii some other time? If not, consider visiting Oahu and one neighbor island.
If you'd like some help deciding where to go, feel free to contact me at info@AffordableHawaiiTravel.com. I live in Hawaii and I am a travel agent specializing only in Hawaii travel.

Im from hawaii and I lived in honolulu. Honolulu is more of a shopping kind of place...its more like a city and not really beautiful. I recommend the big island. I love that place. It is beyond beautiful. Its greeen and amazing! Go to hilo and visit the volcano national park! They have hikes and museums and beautiful walks into the lava tubes! Visit some waterfalls like akaka or rainbow falls. Look up things to do there! But also maui has a lot of tourist things to do maybe more so than the big island but I juat favor the big island!

Maui is really laid back not so many tourist and is really beautiful, it is not a rathole at all. If you like the touristy stuff it's probably not the island you would enjoy but after going to the big island with millions of people Maui was very relaxing. If you do decide to go to Maui go on the road to Hanna its very cool and so is the black sands beach. Whatever you decide have fun and enjoy.

Home to the State Capitol, Honolulu may be the vivid epicentre of Hawaii and a city worth visit, as you will dsicover with hotelbye . In Honolulu you will find everything from historic landmarks and treasured monuments to world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and lifestyle scene. Home to many Oahu's citizenry, the vast city of Honolulu advances through the entire south-eastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu Point, encompassing world famous Waikiki. Pearl Harbor is certainly one of Honolulu's biggest tourist attractions. Although it is house to the Navy's Pacific Fleet, visitors may take a visit to begin to see the USS Arizona Memorial, and the USS Missouri.

I've only seen Oahu a couple of times but I really liked the island. I LOVE the flora and fauna there. The flowers and trees are so unusual and so beautiful. The beaches are pretty and Waikiki is fun too! Have fun where ever you go!! And just go on the internet and look around.

I've heard great things about Kauai, a little more expensive but if you can afford it...Oahu is also very nice because you get the best of both worlds, the city life (South Shore aka Waikiki) and the Serene Paradise (North Shore), Have Fun!

Maui, lots to do. You could stay there for a month & not do the same thing twice. I lived there for 16 years & there are some things that I didn't do, & I was very active. I moved back to Oahu for family, I might move back to Maui. (it's somewhat expensive though)
