No Major risks. The worst would be 'perforation of the womb', but this is very rare. The best thing to do is ask a doctor.
I asked the same question a few years ago, and i was told there are no major risks.
That doesn't count psycological risks. If you feel guilty for aborting your other child, while your hormonal, well that is Not a healthy combination.
If you want to talk IM me or email me.
I hope this helps a little.

As long as you get an abortion from a qualified doctor you will be fine (in most cases). Back in the 90s, I read (and saw a news expose) about Russian women having to use abortion as birth control. Some of those women had 5-6 abortions. These weren't bad, evil women - they were married women that had 5-6 children already. At that time there were not many choices in birth control available to them.
Concider carefully what you do. Personally, I had a need of this service, and I had no problems getting pregnant. Actually, I am so fertile that I use about 3 forms of birth control.

Not very likely. The procedures are safer and way less likely to result in complications today than a couple of generations ago.
On the NHS, up to 3 months you can take a "pill" which induces something similar to miscarriage. Up to 6, you can get a "suck and scrape" which is a vacuum applied to your bits under local or general anesthetic and everything cleaned out. After that, you need a medical reason to get referred.
Compare the procedures described to taking large quantities of laxatives, or inserting a coathanger to pull the fetus out (which is what girls would resort to before abortions were made available.)
Edit: Joey (further down) has got it spot on. And as long as you thought everything through, if you still felt it was the correct choice then it was. Just be careful in future!!

Very unlikely to create risks for future pregnancies, as long as enough time has elapsed for the patient's body to completely heal, if there was proper medical care during and afterward, and if there were no infections or other complications following the abortion.
To the person who asked the question, I saw that you added the comment after people starting criticizing you. I just want to tell you that I don't think you had any obligation to explain why you asked the question. You are entitled to ask a question and not have to explain why you want to know.
Before you explained, the people who were saying rude things to you didn't know -- you could have been asking for a friend, or doing research, trying to settle a debate, preparing to give a speech, writing a paper ... or even just testing to see how violent and judgmental people's responses would be.
It seems that you might have felt a little guilty conscience when people started lashing out at you & felt like you had to explain. In my opinion, you are not subject to the judgement passed on you by people in this forum. That's between you and your Higher Power, not for people in this forum to decide. One of my good friends always says that "God knows what's in your heart" and that He takes that into consideration when judging your life and deeds.

It CAN, but just because you have an abortion, doesnt mean you wont be able to get pregnant again. Infact, it is VERY rare that having one or even two will cause problems, as long as you dont have complications and and dont use abortions as birth control. The most common reason for not being able to get prego after multiple abortions is due to scar tissue that is built up.

There is a small risk if you get a full on abortion. I dont know about if you just take the pill one. Consult a doctor or someone at planned parenthood and ask.
And ps, she asked if abortion caused risks for future pregnancies, not for your opinion or stance on the matter of abortion.

It can but not usually. Mostly it creates guilt with future pregnancy. What would baby have been like, was it a boy or a girl? My friend had an abortion when she was young & she had a hard time while pregnant with guilt. She did not have trouble getting pregnant though.

Abortions are safe and generally cause no problems with future pregnancies. More women die in childbirth than in having an abortion. multiple abortions could pose problems with future pregnancies. Have a great day.

Abortions can cause a woman to develop endometriosis, which in turn can cause problems conceiving. In a round about way, yes, abortions can cause infertility.
I've also heard that some women have problems conceiving because of scar tissue in the uterus caused by the abortion. I don't know for sure though...I've never had one.
