I think it is those things, but also loneliness. A person can feel lonely, and if they are ugly, or shy they might not have a signifigant other, and if they also have allergies to the typical warm fuzzy pets, they then turn to god to feel like someone cares. It's sad sometimes the reasons people have to need to believe in that dribble. cheers
