It seems clear that those who oppose abortion and support the death penalty do so because it's an issue of guilt/innocence. But what about the other way around?

Yes, we have the Democratic party - pro-choice and against death penalty. Then, we have the Republican party - pro-life and for the death penalty. Neither one are consistent! I think this is the fault of the two party system.

It would make more sense for one party to support abortion and support the death penalty, and then have the other side be against abortion and against the death penalty. It would seem more consistent that way, and I think people would prefer it that way.

Which way do you think we should assign it; i.e, who will be the party of death and who will be the party of life?

yea but i wonder if the same person both aposses the death penalty and abortion. who is contradicting themselves? do you think a lot of people who are for abortion are against the death penalty? it's a personal issue you'll have to ask each individual person. I personally believe pro abortion and that the death penalty should be for people who murder other people. but instead of them bieng injected or gassed they should be killed the same exact way they killed that person that they had murdered. seems fair right? i think so.

I don't know, I myself support both abortion rights AND the death penalty, so I can't really answer. It has never made sense to me either.

For both sides, it's more about politics than guilt/innocence. Liberals actually tend to side with the guilty on many issues because they believe individual choice is more important.

Perhaps because abortion does not kill a fetus. Christ does not allow fetuses to suffer. And in fact God invented abortion and therefore to abort is the right thing to do.

Abortion rights is about women's rights and the right to control their own bodies. Nowhere in the Bible is anything said about abortion. Christians, please read your own book. Abortion is a religious issue. If you are against it, don't have one.
