I hope you're taking the necessary practical steps. First, stop paying insurance policies. What would be the point? I'm thinking you're a young person, so what's the use of investing in a future that's not going to happen. Forget 401Ks, savings, any of that stuff.
Tribulations in 2018? OK, put every cent you have in short bond positions. Are you sure you even want to pursue a career, or studies? Seems like you might just start in on a life of prayer from now on. Yep, I'd recommend Jesus & prayer, 24 X 7.

I believe that the end is near, probably in my lifetime. But when you make specific predictions like that you are treading on dangerous ground. It should be pretty obvious to any born-again Christian that the end is very near, the signs are all around us. I wouldn't be getting so specific no matter how much "proof" you have. If Jesus tarries and the tribulation doesn't start until 2030 then you will look foolish. Or the tribulation could start tomorrow, there is absolutely no way of knowing for sure. God doesn't grant that type of information to us. All we can do is look to the signs of the times and be ready at any time.

i heard the same thing when i was a kid growing up in the 70s'....."hes coming soon" some people let their lives go to a mess believing that....i think that Jesus Himself taught not to worry about it the time when He was coming back but keep your heart strong in the faith and take care of ur buisness as usual was the message. All you have to do is look around at whats going on in the world to see that the time is nearing but it could still be several more years or several hundred who knows...and to the young lady above, its dangerous to think that another is coming that has the truth...

Well, you've certainly generated a few answers with this DUMB question. Now perhaps you ought to take a tally of the number who seem to stand with you vs. those that think you're a loony.... I'm with the loonies - Man, you're a 1st class, #1 loony if there ever was one.
Next time you're looking for a reasonable prediction, look in the Farmer's Almanac or go and ask an astrologist... Their at least as reliable as the Bible, (and just as full of DUNG.)

What do I do to be saved? Are the Jehovah's Witnesses right that only 144,000 will be saved? That doesn't seem like a lot, with over 6 billion people on Earth and at least 2 billion of them Christian. Thats a very small per-centage, I am not going to figure it out now, but it is very small. They seem to be right, I have seen it in the Holy Bible say that only 144,000 shall be saved. Is everybody else going to h**l? How can I possibly be one of the Saved?

I need the 2 points but as most of the people stated, no one knows the date, not even the angels in Heaven, or Jesus himself. Only God knows the time and date. If we knew this, even non-believers, the world will be in panic or hopefully everyone will try to do good for the remainer of their lives.

Seriously, no one knows the exact time and day. As you stated, that is clear in the bible. Just because you cite another verse that indicates otherwise, doesn't that just mean it's yet another contradiction in the bible?
Furthermore, man has believe the end days are near for thousands of years. Yes, it could be in 2018... or it could be in 20,018.

I didn't read the whole thing, it was boring as all hell. But anywho, once again, people are putting to much stock in the movies and television. They never claimed to be prophets.
As for the pedophilia and other things, they were always there, it's just that more people are reporting it.
How do we know that your not the false prophet of which the Bible speaks of, and your just trying to throw suspicion off your self?

Anyone who professes to know exactly when Jesus Christ is coming is an idiot who does not know the scriptures. NO ONE knows when it will come exactly, but we can get a general idea. There are a lot of things that still have to happen, so I don't think it will happen anytime really soon. But if it does, that's great. I'm looking forward to it.
