This is question 25 in my ongoing probe into the consensus on GOD, the Bible, and the Religions that follow them.
25. How do you know which Rich Guy, Derranged Artist, Asian Monarch, or Insane Biochemist is GOD?
If you still believe that GOD is a Man, Woman, Child, Animal, Humanoid, Cyborg, Sentient Being, Cosmic Entity, or other life form, how will you know that the one that claims to be GOD is actually GOD? Any being with tremendous power could claim to be GOD. The Bible is full of beings with miraculous capabilitied outside of normal human parameters. Doctors save flatliners every day, and the Salvation Army has been feeding milions for decades. Keep in mind that this being can refuse to show us proof because the Bible says not to test GOD.
If you claim that noone is capable of a feat that would convince you that they were GOD but GOD, how can you be so sure? And, don't say "Faith" or "I'd just know", because those are lame copout answers that DO NOT answer the question.

good one. there realy is no way to fully know or understand if the person is god, or a god (aka angel). from what i've found most of the religions from the dawn of time to now basicly folow the same story line, yes "STORY line", what i think we forget in the translation of spirituality is that the bible is a book, like anyother story, it just has more meening. same (sorry i feel bad for the referance) with the necronomican. they both have storys and both have 'spells' to be good or bad. god is in us all and therfore we can only dissapoint ourselves in the longrun.
addition: wow people (the other answers) get a clue, or get an education, that or learn to read and see what the real question in the question is.

To Ur first question answer is: I honestly don't know. Your questions are interesting but a little over the top but I will try to answer them. The people that you have listed may live a Godly life where God is the center of their beliefs. God is a spirit not flesh. God is like the wind. You can't see him but you know He's there.To say that God refuse to show up is not true. He sent his comforter to guide us which is his Holy Spirit. John 14:16 The power that compels us comes from the spirit who indwells us. This is how I can be sure.

god has given guy the knowelege to create new technologies, drugs to heal, etc.... the single difficulty is to believe that god is making use of the individuals to do the paintings for him, in simple terms as each and every of the forged works were finished in the Bible.
