So why y'all feet-washing churches don't do just that?

John 13:3-5 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

Took off His robe and wrapped a towel around Himself in preparation for washing the disciples feet.

John 13:4 (NLT) So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist,

John 13:5 (NLT) and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel he had around him.
