A Famous Environmentalist

NOT Al Gore! He talks big, but he doesn't set the example by living the way he expects of the rest of us! Comeon Mr. Gore, trade in all your vehicles for true hybrids Become a spokesman for an AMERICAN company developing Hybrid technology! As a former VP, insist that your security people at least drive Escape, Mariner, or Highlander Hybrids. Gore can't hold a candle to the true environmentalists I've listed below.

Aldo Leopold - the father of modern ecology (Reading a Sand County Almanac is a must for any aspiring environmentalist)

Ansel Adams - Has helped to spread the word on preservation of our national parks through his stunning photographs.

Richard Nixon - while many republicans of today seem to be anti-environment, few realize many of our strongest environmental laws came about through his active support while he was President! Sadly he is remembered for Watergate rather than the Clean Water Act, or establishment of the EPA.

Dianne Fossey - was killed because of her stance to study and preserve the last remaining Mountain Gorillas in Rawanda.
