My favorite meal is any kind of meat, steak, pork chop, fish, don't matter, but has to have mashed potatoes, gravy, and a great salad. Thats my favorite. Comfort.
And my mother makes a dish that is the ultimate from childhood. It's a Pennsylvania Dutch dish called pot pie, and no it is not like the pot pie you buy in the store like little frozen pies. Its more like a stew with big home made noodles in broth, my favorite is smoked ham hock broth and meat with the noodles.

mezzaluna ravioli from Carrabba's! it's spinach and chicken half-moon shaped ravioli in a tomato cream sauce and it's divine! I generally start off with some bruschetta or just some of their yummy Italian bread with dipping oil. a glass of Reisling really caps it off, too.
