It doesn't. It kills people but certainly no more than first hand smoking. Where did you get this "fact" from?

well most smokers use cigars that have a filter which makes it less lethal to their health when they inhale it. So when they exhale it the smoke would diffuse into the air, and then they start smoking again which involves inhaling which prevents them from breathing in the 2nd hand smoke as much. So those who are standing near by would be afected worse since their is no filter and they are inhaling almost all of the smoke before it has a chance to diffuse into the air. I hope this answers your question.

I know it doesn't make sense... But I think it's because when someone starts smoking, the non-smokers around them just don't care, or pass it off as one of those things that you just have to get used to. But you don't! Ask them to move, or move away from them. Even telling them that you have asthma will work.

The point is, smoking hurts everyone. If you know it's bad for you and the people around you, do us all a favour: Don't start in the first place.

its doesn't kill more, but it is worse for this reason.

cancer in the lungs is caused by the thick walls of tar that block radiation (mostly from the sun) passing through the body and trap this radiation in the lungs for a long time. this causes cells to mutate, and cancer to initiate.

the walls of tar are thick with the more one smokes 1st hand. however, if you hang out in a room that is smoky, your lungs are staying smoking inside, as opposed to a first hand smoker, who exhales that smokes out of his lungs. so you see, second hand smoke actually has you build your tar walls in your lungs a tad faster.

but then again, a 1st hand smoker is subject to their own second hand smoke, unless they smoke outside!

there are other reasons too, an inhale of smoke (planned) is evicted from the lungs...and unknowing second hand smoker doesnt consciously evict all the smoke, thus again the smoke stays in the lungs longer

Not true...second hand smoke killes way less people, you don't get emphysema or Heart attack from second hand smoking.

because the people who smoke dont have a filter and the smoke comes out easily so people can breath it.

never heard that before... smoking kills way more people than second hand smoke.

but both should be taken very seriously!
