I am thinking of buying a 2006 Saturn Vue, and I just want to know what people think of this Veh or Saturn in general?? I just wanna make sure a Saturn is the right chose for me. I have a VW Bug now and I love it cuz it's my first car and I love the look, but it has become the bigest piece of crap, and is notheing but problems.

I'm kinda biased because I sell Saturns, but I wouldn't sell any other make of vehicle. The VUE is a great choice. The 4-cyl version is a great way to save some money, and the V6 gives you the most for your money. It gets great gas mileage, tons of get up and go, versatile cargo options, and is really easy to drive. They also fair pretty well in wrecks. I've seen MANY wrecked VUEs and talked to owners who couldn't believe how well the car (and the occupants) held up. [That being said, don't think they are easy to wreck... most of the wrecked Saturn's in my area came through the body shop at my dealership for appraisals, that's why I've seen so many.]

I own a Saturn SL2 (1999). Bought it new from a dealer. I love it! Great on gas, has given me very few problems, and I just add oil and gas and check the tires every so often. It's getting old, but still runs and looks great. I'm thinking of buying a new Saturn Sky in a year or two. I want to see how people like them and then decide. I will buy another Saturn of some type. They are wonderful cars and EASY to operate and fix. I am not a mechanic, but can do a few mechanical things to it, that's how easy it is! I highly recommend, and I don't work for Saturn or GM!!!!!

I just bought a 2006 Saturn Vue in Polar White and I LOVE it! I have had no problems, and have the service department tell me to call if I need anything at all. So far, I have found no negatives aspects and am in love with the gas mileage. In reference to what you wrote above about your first car, I had the same issue with my last car, ( even though it was'nt my first car) and I wanted something reliable, good looking and great on Gas Mileage. Go ahead and take the plunge and buy the 2006 Saturn Vue- They are awesome!

The dealers do vary some. They had developed a good reputation, but corporate starting hassling them about not making enough money. The local dealer kept giving my son the runaround with his. He'd bought it from his uncle who's a car salesman, and that dealer didn't want to work on it, either. The sunroof was nothing but trouble, and then the mechanic at the dealer told him the engine was going to need overhauled really soon. It had less than half the miles that his Dodge Spirit had when he traded it, and the Spirit was running fine. So he ended up trading it on another Dodge.
I'd thought the Saturn had been a good choice for him, but I guess you can find a dud anywhere. He was also disappointed at the fuel mileage. It was not very consistent at all.
There is a lady at work who has a Vue, and she loves it. But she has been annoyed by the local dealer, too, and now takes it to another one.

I worked at a Saturn Dealer through college, and they were known for years for having the second-highest customer satisfaction ratings, second only to Mercedes. I always thought that was pretty good, considering Saturns cost about a third of what Mercedes' go for. Also, my Mom has a 94 Saturn that runs like a top. Generally, I would say that for the price, you're getting a pretty good value. Also, they are very cheap to repair and/or maintain.
I think their only downfall is that they feel tremendously underpowered compared to other cars in the same price range. They are, however, excellent on gas.

I have a 2002 Saturn S series 4-door. Bought the car used it was the test drive model. Had some problems with the radiator at the start, but everything was fixed by Saturn. Other than that it has been great for me.

I have a Saturn SL2 which has lasted over 10 years and 130,000 miles. I've had two major problems in that time.
