this might be silly but i cant be sure how these things work anymore since my last relationship was longterm and 5 years long....so i went on a first date with this guy on thursday. we had a great time. he walked me home and gave me a sizzling kiss and then asked if he could call me sometime. obviously i said yes. so now it's tuesday. how much longer do i give him???

I think if a man is really into you, he will call you within 2-3 days of the last date.

I would want a call the next day. Just to say again what a great time he had. Or an email saying the same thing.
If we really hit it off, I'd at least have to have a call requesting a second date by two days later.
If it's any longer than that, **** him.

Typicaly 3 days is the most. I would be a little upset if I were in your situation. I've learned that if they are really interested (and mature) they don't play the waiting game, they call the next day. It sounds like you are older.... you shouldn't wait around on some guy that can't decide if he wants to call you. Move on.

did you actually give him your number? do you have his?
well, in some cases, the guy is shy, so i usually give him 2-5 days to call, then in that case, i'll call them, but you have to be careful and polite! don't push to hard until you know more of what he's like.

It is polite and appropriate to call the afternoon after the date to thank your partner for the nice time.
