Yep, I use to work at a nursing home and the client would be monitored for excessive water drinking. However, when she would be restricted from the water fountains after meeting her rations, she would, R U ready?, ya'll not ready:

Yes. Drinking too much water can damage your kidneys.
You should drink no more than 180 fluid ounces of water a day. That is assuming conditions are normal, if you excersize excesivly, or work in a very hot enviornment, you may need more.

Yes you can. It can lower your electrolyte and thin your blood out too much. It can also cause the cells in your brain to "swell". This is not a good thing. With depleted electrolyte (Potassium, sodium, etc) and "swollen" brain cells, outlook isn't great. The depleted electrolytes are actually common, but the brain cells swelling is rare... you have to really really being drinking a lot of water to get to that extent. If you are a heavy water drinker, just make sure you are taking in things with good substance. Replacement foods high in potassium and other electrolytes are good. Pedialyte and gatorade also replace electrolytes quickly.

Yes. It not easy but by drinking too much water you loose the balance of other minerals in your system. Distance runners have experienced problems by sweating out body fluids and minerals then replacing them with only water.

Yes you can. There was a report of a police officer trainee on either Dateline or 20/20 who died from over drinking water during practice. He drank so much that he desalinized his body (removed all traces of salt), and ultimately died. Water is great, but if you're going to be extra strenuous in your activities, consider rotating your water intake with Gatorade or Powerade.

Water Menu For Weight Loss
Many of us know that keeping our bodies well hydrated is essential for good health and for weight loss. Drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water every day is recommended and yet many people find this difficult to do.
If you are one of the many people who find it difficult to drink water, here is a program easily followed to ensure you are well hydrated every single day.
When you wake up you will often be thirsty because your body loses water while you are sleeping through breathing and perspiration. Drink a large glass of water with a slice of lemon for zing.
Drink another glass of water with breakfast or a cup of herbal tea before setting off the day.
Mid morning - snack on a piece of juicy fruit such as orange, rockmelon, watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew. Have a glass of water and perhaps try a dash of herbal aloe juice which is wonderfully soothing to the digestive system.
Lunch - think of soup or have a glass of water before your meal, or perhaps a herbal tea.
Mid afternoon - While you are preparing your evening meal, drink a glass of water and snack on some crunchy fresh vegetables.
Evening - Sip a glass of water before your meal with a dash of your favourite fruit juice for flavour.
After dinner - before bedtime drink your final glass of water and sleep well!
Now here's the really exciting part - you may notice a reduction in inches and centimetres, as you body's water store become redundant and so decrease. You may need to 'spend a penny' more but the results will be worth it.

Yes you can, but unless you have an underlying heart or kidney problem, it is extremely unlikely. If you are drinking too much water, you can become bloated, especially if you eat a lot of salty foods.

YES you can, too much of anything is not good. C'mon now people. Remember the more water you drink, the more your kidneys will work into overtime. You can tax your kidneys drinking too much and you can possibly get fat and swole!!

yes... if you drink too much water without enough salt to keep the water in your system you can actually dehydrate yourself... 8 glasses a day with a normal diet and exercise is perfect... salty diet (more than 2400mg of sodium a day) will take more water.
