I have on the back of my TV an RF Cable plug-in and Video/Audio plug in. My DVD player and my VCR are the same plug-ins.

ok here is how u would do it.
Out of ur VCR use the coaxial(one u have to screw in)out to DVD recorders ANT in.
Then out of ur cable Box use the red white n yellow to the DVD recorders redwhiteyellow in.
Then out of ur DVD recorder red/white/yellow to the TVs input.
U will have to switch channels or inputs when u wanna change what u wanna record from and what u wanna watch.

First of all, define your sources. These are the origination of signal. Then determine the final destination. In between those two places you insert components that allow you to be a source or a destination.
A destination is a place you want to either watch or record.
A source is where signal is created or received.
So, your source is an antenna, a cable box, and a VHS.
[antenna/cable]--->[DVD PLAYER]--->[VHS]---->[TV/monitor]
The wiring would be A/V cables from cable to DVD to VHS and the rf screw type from VHS to TV unless your TV has the ability to receive the A/V wires to it.

VCR and Cable to DVR. DVR to TV. Simple. Your DVR should give you the option of which input you want to send to the TV.

Does not sound like a good idea to me.
Why would you want to hook it up that way?
It would only degrade the signal, which would make for a very lousy picture.
