The next time y'all get bored, don't put anything metal in the microwave. It definitely will spark and cause quite a bit of damage.

If you want to see something relatively harmless, put a marshmallow in the microwave & turn it on & see what happens.

Yes, sparks will fly. Depends on how long you leave it in there for. Could cause long term damage if cooked too long. I don't recommend trying it.
