The reason most Christians have a thing against homosexuality is because the Bible forbids it thoroughly. Although, it is borbidden by the Bible, true Christians still strive to teach the good new of God's kingdom to such individuals, because it is possible with God's help to abandon homosexuality (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
Homosexuality goes against God's arrangement of man and woman. If everyone on earth were strictly homosexual, how much longer would the human race last?
It would last only about 1 generation.

Most of the Christians I know, myself included, think that homosexuality is a sin, but not that it makes a homosexual a bad person, any more than lying or cheating on a test or speeding, or wanting a car nicer than your neighbor makes you a bad person. Nobody's perfect, whether gay or straight. Personally, I think that there are just as many homosexuals who have erroneous, bigoted views of Christians as vice versa. So don't assume that everyon who's vocal about their dislike of homosexuals is a Christian and don't assume that just because someone is a Christian, that they would hold homosexuality against you. You, however, appear to be perfectly willing to choose friends based on their religion. That is bigoted.

Homosexuality is a sin, but there is nothing wrong with liking a homosexual. It is just a sin. Just like shoplifting. I would like you. But if you don't believe in God, or in his diety and you ask my opinion on why christians believe homosexuality is wrong, be prepared for an answer.
I guess one way of looking at homosexuality and why to God it is a sin, is because man is born with both a male and female fitting, and woman are not. If being gay was right, then both would be born with both.
Again, if you believe it is right, and are so sure of it, then why are you concerned with what God thinks? I mean you come to this sight with questions concerning christians opinions and beliefs and some get offended by them, but no one is twisting your arms to come here and read them.

The Bible says that Homosexuality is a Sin, Read the book of Romans.
More importantly. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, disobeyed your parents. These are just 3 of God's moral laws. The Bible tells us that when we die, then God will judge us by His moral laws. We have all sinned and broken God's moral laws, and if you are not born-again, God will send you to Hell to be punished forever. God made a way for us to be forgiven for our Sins. Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose again to take our punishment and pay the debt for our sins. We must Repent, which means to ask God to forgive you for sinning and turn away from sin. Then put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then will you be accepted into Heaven, not because your a good person, but because you're a bad person who's been Forgiven.

People often use the fact that because there was a lot of homosexuality going on in Sodom & Gomorrah as mentioned in the Bible, they use that to say that is the reason God destroyed the two cities. That is very wrong, God destroyed the cities because He said that the people in those cities were eccedingly wicked (not just because they were gay).
Homosexuality is a sin, however, eccedingly wicked implies sinful in just about all of one's ways.

You are too funny a fellow. Why do you feel you have to justify yourself? How do you know they're Christians? Why are you around them. You will find genuine answers when you are serious about answering them. I ran into a guy many years ago who use to be what you call guy.
Know what this man said to me? " I use to do that just to get people to like me. " It's a cold, cruel, world." You don't have to go to those extremes. First you must isolate, identify, and deal with the 'voices' within yourself.
You're a person. Not - a ' homosexual '. Start with that.

Christians are not better or holier than homosexuals or anyone . Homosexuality is considered a sin according to the bible (see Sodom and Gomorrah), but all people, Christians included, commit sin, so no one is perfect. That's why Christians believe they need Jesus Christ to redeem them from that sin and no one should reject you for being sinful. Christians, and other people, do tend to be judgmental though, but ultimately only God can judge. That being said, typically Christians try not to sin, try to rectify their sinful behavior where possible and ask for God's forgiveness.

It is a sin 1st of all. I would be friends w/ you & I am a Christian. If a Christian is against you cause you are a homosexual then they have issues to deal w/. We are to love the sinner but hate the sin.

It may sound like you are defending their sin, but don't join in the trash talk about gays. Just ask them if they hate you too, since you are a liar or whatever. Your sin is no less than a gay person's action. You will become more tolerant of all people when you avoid the arguments, debates, surveys about others. The apostle Paul taught us , Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

You should be friends with whomever you want! I don't condone homosexuality, but that doesn't mean I won't be friends with a gay person! Christians are to love the sinner and hate the sin! oo many of them lose sight of that, and I'm sorry that people have to go through with it.
