Here are some things that I've done during the hot days of summer for my cats.
Take those small, catnip filled, furry mice and dampen them with tap water. Then put the wet mouse in the freezer for several hours. My cats love to play with them and when they are frozen they enjoy laying on them and carrying them in their mouths.
Using a little film canister, make a Popsicle using chicken or beef broth and a soft cat food like tender vittles. My cats love them, but I'll warn you, they make a mess.
My son discovered that our cats love to chase a feather on a long piece of string. We tape it to a blade of a fan and it will entertain the cats and keep them cool at the same time.
Create an indoor garden for your cat. Many garden stores sell grass seeds by the pound. Wheat, alfalfa, mint or cat nip seeds work great. Take a large tray or flat flower pot and fill it with potting soil. Plant your seeds, water, cover with saran wrap and wait for the sprouting. If the pot is large enough for your cat to lay in, I promise you'll find them napping in the grass!

Cats prefer warmth to cold, so she's probably just fine. Just be sure to leave her alot of water, as if it's warmer she will want to drink more. Keep the bathroom door open, if she get's too hot, she can always go in there and lay on the cool tile floor or even in the tub

allow her access to any room that has tile or linoleom(sp?) flooring down as all my cats congregate on the tiles by my front door and on the bathroom floor to try and keep cool. they like to lay in the cool porcaline sinks and i also have fans they like to lay next to. make sure you have plenty of fresh clean water down at all time. fill the water bowl full of ice and then fill with water so she will have a cool drink as the ice melts. keep blinds and drapes closed as this will help keep some of the heat down. there isn't much else you can do unless you get a protable air conditioner.

Cats' fur keeps them warm in the winter and cooler in the summer! It helps them to regulate their body temp! Don't shave them! Cats are ok in the summer.... just make sure her water bowl is full and if he has access to a tile floor she'll like that!
My guy licks ice sometimes.. but I don't think thats a normal cat thing to do!

my cat has long fluffy hair and lives inside 24/7 - it gets really hot in the house during the day - so i get her shaved for summer. she loves being 'naked'.
shorthair cats are great at cooling themselves down though.
a "hot water bottle" BUT with cold water in it works well for it to sleep next to. Fans to stir the air up cause a breeze (even though it's warm usually, at least there's air flow).

I have a cat.....and what I did for him this summer was I got a floor fan and let him lay in front of it at night.....and during the day I let him go into my mom's room where she has a good a/c, and he spends the day outside too when he wants to go outside :)
