I stopped using crystal meth just before Christmas last year. I haven't slipped since & am very proud of myself.... BUT I just cant stop thinking about it. I crave it all the time & was wondering if anybody out there has gone through this before . . what helped you? Seems like I think about it 4 or 5 times a week and want to drive down to go get some . . . but luckily I haven't. I am in San Diego & it is all over the town so it is hard to forget about it... anyways. . .thanks for any help you can offer me.

please leave the **** alone it will ruin your life and everyone around you..my husband is addicted right now to the new form called ice..it is a living nightmare he does weird **** that he never would have done before and he is not the same person he used to be..to make matters worse we have a 4 year old and i am 4 months pregnant and the stress and money loss is killing me...i have looked up a lot of info on this drug and they say zoloft will work if you have stopped doing it but still crave it because the drug depleates the chemical called saratonin in your brain and zoloft is an ssri (selective seratonin inhibitor) so it puts the chemical back in your brain ..it is a feel good chemical part of your brain so you will be happier and think less about the drug and be more happy about life??? i am helping my hubby through the same thing but i have to get him off of the **** first.....good luck and stay strong you dont want to die a horrible brain annurism from high blood pressure so look up methamphetamine deaths that may help a little....

I can't say that I can relate to an addiction of that extent, but I feel you. Have you tried to puffin on some sense? I know it's not the best answer, but it's better than meth you know? I have a family member that lives in Downey that also has had this problem, it hasn't been easy but he got over it but he struggles everyday, he's doesn't even smoke sense anymore either so it was bad.

I hope you can find some sort of motivation in the fact that someone out there can relate and it rooting for you to stay clean and good.

Good luck homey!

You should be very proud of yourself! I know I am!

I faced the same thing when I quit smoking. The mental part of an addiction can be stronger than the physical part. You think about it constantly. And then not so constantly. And then sometimes. And then once in a while.

If you aren't in NA or any other support group, keep yourself BUSY with positive things. Doing volunteer work, work more hours, join a community sports team. Go to church. They will bleed your time dry if you let them.

Keep up the good work.

I've never been in your shoes but I have heard that it takes months for the effects of meth to get out of your body, unlike coke which just takes a few days. Are you part of a support group, someone who's been through this that you can call on when you start thinking about it. Congrats on taking your life back.

That is exactly how it is. I snorted crystal for six months. I craved it for 3 years after I stopped, and i thought about it all the time. Thats just an effect it has on the brain. Give it sometime it'll go away eventually.

FIRST: CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE SO FAR. Anyone who can come off that stuff is a fine person indeed.
Second; I want you to spend the next 15 seconds NOT thinking of a white rabbit.
That was just 15 seconds, how do you expect to do the same thing with a narcotic for 24 hours per day. You're doing fine. Hang in there and we are proud of you.

a million. "throughout the time of those 4 days she did not smoke for this reason she ought to've extremely stop yet once she were given in the motor vehicle she lite one up and because those 8 days she has not had a lager" in case you extremely believe that's the case then you truthfully extremely don't know how addictive smoking is and eating should be. a huge area of it really is psychological and which could not purely a case of abstaining from it. Months (often times even years) when you stop smoking/eating you'll nevertheless be yearning it! when you've commonly used it, you'll in no way ignore it. you won't be able to stress someone to stop, its some thing she desires to do on her own in step such as her own causes & motivations etc. TBH out of the lot IMO the discomfort pill dependancy is the most demanding. yet both way, you could convey a horse to water yet you won't be able to make it drink. 2. The artwork- it purely appears like your guy extremely has it in for you mum. Lazy yet works 9hr days? Gimme a ruin! purely because she don't have a troublesome interest does not advise that she would not artwork flat out or is lazy etc. From the sounds of it, regardless of the very incontrovertible actuality that she has her flaws she works troublesome & is a loving mum and has executed a good interest in elevating you (you've grew to grow to be out extremely nicely). IMO your boyfriend extremely desires to start up being supportive of you and forestall treating your mum like an enemy. All he's doing is driving a wedge between you and your mum and his procedures are literally not helping everybody! He desires to strengthen up and settle for the very incontrovertible actuality that he won't be able to stress those round him to regulate (no remember how a lot he dislikes them) not in common words because he has no proper to stress people, yet to boot because his procedures are completely counter-useful. He desires to focusing extra on the excellent international you've jointly, and word the best things on your mum rather of purely focusing on the negativity each of the time and exasperating it.

Sorry to hear of your stuggle. You should get someone to be accountable to (someone you are a little scared of). Also, you should check and see if there are any support groups in your area. This can be a huge help and offer lots of ideas to get through this tough time.
