Love is a mental and verbal commitment to another individual....

Each individual has a different idea of what criteria needs to be met, and what they are willing to do for the other person. Once they are confident the other person meets their criteria, and they commit to trying to do the things they deem they should for someone they love...

BAM, they are in love... By their own conscious, or subconscious choice.

Love is not equal between two individuals...

What kind of love?

1) love for God?
2) love for others (non-sexual)?
3) love for animals and plants?
4) love for Mother Earth and Mother Nature and all the stars?
5) love for the opposite sex and children?
6) love for yourself?

Either way it's desire for survival and well-being, outwardly and inwardly -- to and from the person or thing you're loving.
