.....gay priest and nuns, and that's just in the catholic faith. What, if any, significance does this have?

O.K. I know I'm in the minority, and I feel like a broken record! BUT, not all Christians believe homosexuality is a sin. There are denominations out there who are open, affirming and accepting of homosexuality. The Disciples, United Church of Christ, Episcopalians, to name a few. I know the right wing voices are louder and larger in number, but remember there are other voices out there too.
The issue of priests and nuns and homosexuality and/or sexual abuse is a completely separate issue.

It is sad all things that have taken place over the past years in the Catholic church and I am sure it has also happened in other denominations, not just as much.

This just shows yet another way that Satan and people are letting the church fall and be deceived. People are sadly mislead.

I have a friend that is a Christian and is also gay. However he does not practice the lifestyle of a homosexual. It is a weakness of his that he struggles with at times, however he wants to serve God with all his heart and knows that God views it as a sin. So he deals the best he can as all of us do with our own sins and weaknesses.

You can be both gay and Christan. Did you know that there were even gay popes years a go, such as Benedict IX (1020-1055), John XXII (1249-1334), Julius III (1487-1555), Paul VI (1897-1978), Pius XII (1876-1958), Sixtus IV (1414-1484). God must not hate gays as much as the right wing thinks if this many have been chosen as Pope.

Sexual orientation is not mentioned in the Bible.
Bible languages of Hebrew and Greek have no word for homosexual, sex,
or for romantic love.
The Bible nowhere says that gays and lesbians can or should change their
orientation.
The Bible in the original languages never condemns same-sex romantic love
as sin.
Jesus never mentioned homosexuality.
The Bible repeatedly demonstrates God's love, care and acceptance of all
outcast, rejected, misunderstood and alienated people.

False prophets will come in the end times. The church never let homosexuals be priests, nuns and so forth. We have always accepted them however because Jesus said to love everyone. He hates the sin, not the sinner. If anything you could say that this proves what is said in the bible.

Who told you Catholics were Christians. Christians follow Christ and know that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. Catholics believe that Jesus Christ has to ask His Mother Mary for everything, they believe in praying to dead Saints while Christians only pray to the Father through Jesus. As for your question about homosexuals in the church, the answer is the same as it was before when this question was ask. Homosexuals go to Church for the same reason all other sinners go to Church. If we did not sin there would be no need to go to Church and hear the Preacher preach the Word of God and tell us how to get forgiveness

The Catholic Church does not say people cannot be gay and Christian. It does teach that all Catholics should refrain from sexual activity that is outside of marriage, but that's another matter, and would need to be the subject of a different question.

And preacher's wife: Catholics were Christians a thousand years before your denomination's founder was born.

Actually you can be both at the same time. I know of a few that are struggling with it. They are homosexuals, then became Christians and still struggle with those tendencies.

You cannot actively pursue the gay lifestyle though. It is an habitual sin that must be stopped.

You are correct. Many are in the church, though not all of them are saved.

Thank you, you said it, in the catholic churches.
You know well, that they don't just accept that, but they also accept to worship fake gods. Like statues made of men hands, that they cannot see, smell or what. They have to carry their own gos, beside carrying their own sins.

But then Jesus say:
Mark 2:17, "When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Jesus Christ came into the world to seek and save the lost.

Luke 19:10, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."

Jesus came into the world to demonstrate the true purpose of life and give Himself a ransom.

Matthew 20:28, "Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

False, we do not accept Homesexuality in Christian church, "well the true Christians", tfor the message above.
God say if you accept the wrong doing, then you become part of that wrong and you also will be judge the same way.

It's significant becuase it's prove that the churches do not practice what they preach. The Bible strongly condemns homosexuality throughout the scruptures. The true Christian religion shuns homosexuality, even on television programs.
