wether its politically, socially or any other way christians ARE being attacke for their beleifs. its not because their holy book claims that itll happen at the end of day, its because christians have a way of making things better for themselves while leaving everything crappier for everyone else.

example 1. in africa christian missionaries go to villages and spread their disease...i mean their religion...they teach that if people dont beleive they will be sent to hell to be burned and tortured for all of eternity. then when theyre done theyre off to waiting busses and planes that whisk them off to suburbia!

example 2. the bush cabinet. conservatives have come into power, spawning off some sort of green light that allowed many other conservatives out of the woods and into open fields. suddenly the religious right feel that because theyre in power they can do as they please. gay marraige is illegal, abortion could become illegal.

im sure in time even interracial marraiges could become illega.

christians seem to be making a mess out of the US...and in some parts ofthe world as well...so why do they act suprised when people begin to attack them for their beleifs and their actions?

why are you christians so surprised? when you mess with people they tend to get angry.

this is a wonderful example of how hiding behind your religion can get you in trouble. can you understand that or do you wish to be left alone to wallow in ignorance (i hear its bliss)

Have you ever heard of a bill passed or a law made that was stated to be made in the name of Christ or Christianity?
I doubt that anything I have ever done in my life as a Christian has affected your life whatsoever. You choose your own destiny, your actions are what bring about your own consequences. And if you sit around waiting for some Christian to make choices and do things that will improve your life, well that just isn't possible. You have to make those moves and improvements yourself.
And if your life being better is based on the need for gay marriages and abortion then I think you have your priorities very much mixed up. And your example of missionaries must be only a select few because I know there are missionaries that stay in a country for years living right next to the people in their villages. Grouping all Christians into one lump is not fair, and with good judgement you should be able to distinguish that the actions of a few does not determine the action of all.

Were not surprised, it is to be expected.

Now in regards to your examples:
1.Yes there are short term missionaries who go into an area and the return home, but there are also those who change their entire life to follow the call of Christ. Many groups also go into an area and share the gospel as wellas providing medical and dental care to these people.
2.As a Christian God tells us that murder is an abomiationa and homosexuality is and abomination. While I do not agree with this lifestyle or an unborn child being aborted I know people will choses to go there own way and I will continue to pray for them.

It is so obvious that you know nothing about Christianity. Your diatribe is an embarrassment to all others who have at least an elementary and cursory knowledge of the subject. Perhaps there is something you have a smidgen of familiarity about and perhaps that is where you should focus your feeble mind. I would suggest you actually read the Bible but for fear that the challenge cause you to run like a frightened lizard to hide under some desolate rock to protect yourself from exercising your brain, I will not. Maybe you can find some far away place to hide from the snickers and head shaking of those who have unfortunately wasted their time reading your verbal vomit. Maybe if you strive you will find wisdom and knowledge gracious enough to spend some time with you though probably all in vain.

I'd like to answer this question.... I am a Christian and pretty hardcore one at that! I believe in Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior. Time is short before his return, read the book of Revelations friend. it gives us signs to watch for when the end is near. Many of those signs have happened already. I believe each person will stand judgment for what they have done on this earth! The Bible tells us this!! It is OUR duty as Christian's to bring forth the word of God and try to help the lost find Jesus as their Savior. It can not be done by simply saying a prayer you need the Holy Ghost in your life every moment of every day, to guide you and direct your life! I do not believe in scaring people into being saved for it is a feeling not words! If you are scared about facing judgment then make a stand today inyour life and pray right now... ask Jesus to bring on you the holy Spirit to attach to you and to be with you the rest of your life friend. You know those deep dark secrets no one knows about? that hide in every ones past? Guess what! Jesus knows those are the things you will be judged for! Confess those in private in prayer with The Lord. and repent of them! Give yourself the best gift anyone can give themselves freedom from the past sins and The Holy Ghost to guide your future! Pick up your bible and dust it off and get yourself some knowledge and understanding from the word of God, and feed your soul some food it so needs, the spiritual food that only the bible can provide you friend. Hope this helps you understand a little better. Amen and God Bless

First and foremost, I believe your erroneous in your notion that Christians are surprised when they are attacked. Second, I believe your erroneous in thinking the various persons and events you mentioned may be or are even of genuine Christ-following Christians, but are more likely to be of religious Christians using the name of Jesus, whether there is any heart and soul in the use of his name or not. Thirdly, as a Follower of Christ and his ways, I do not find my life has suddenly materially improved while those around me has become crappier. We now make less money, have fewer benefits, more health problems, we don't care for the current political arena, and in my personal opinion when Christ says that we can not serve two masters, for we will either hate the one and love the other - he is at that point speaking of money and Himself - but I think money and politics are excellent bedfellows and one cannot serve politics and Christ without at some point finding that they must choose to serve one or the other. So, I find you're whole premise to be based on bias, prejudicial statements, and opinion, and not on substantiated facts or knowledge.

However, I do think you make some very valid points as to what can appear to be a certain facet, when in fact it is not, and maybe that is a way to know if one is as truly in character what they claim they are.

Born again Christians, (your not a christian if your not born again) will be mocked and made fun of and go through many trials because theyre the light of the world, they point out peoples sin. Most people dont like it when there sin is pointed out, unless theyre born again, then they just epent and stop trying to sin all the time.

hai,,at first case we dont keep telling that we are being attacked.Infact we pray asking for strength to LOVE those who persecute us.
Try loving the person who hates you, you'll know the pain and harship in doing so.And definetly you need a grace from the creator ABBA FATHER.
Talking about Mr.Bush, we have no right to do it.He is selected by God for this time for a purpose.
Ofcourse it's indecent for a man to marry a man, it is against the natural law that God has set.Who gave you right to take away a life. Can you give back life to a small ant that has been crushed. If you can do it then go ahead kill human.

""But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name." (Luke 21:12)

We are not surprised that we are attacked for our faith. We are told over and over again that it will happen.

You say we only make things better for ourselves? Those Christian missionaries to Africa bring more than just the word of God with them. They bring food to those who are starving. They bring medicine to the sick. They teach them how to make filters to purify their water They help to rebuild after disasters. If this is what you call hurting them, I would never want you to help me.

As for the bush administration, they have changed nothing. These issues have been battled for years. Gay marriage being illegal, for your information, that is all state legislation and most of the places that have made gay marriage illegal are the liberal states. As for abortion, it is murder, plain and simple. It is killing a baby for temporary comfort.

If interracial marriages become illegal it is not our fault. We make no distinction between the races. All of mankind is loved equally by God.

We are not surprised that we are persecuted; We are surprised that our persecuters call us ignorant when they are more ignorant than we are.

I wasn't surprised at all. Jesus told us this would happen,

The World Hates the Disciples
"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

It's because they think they're part of the majority, and genuinely believe that everyone else thinks like they do. They're obviously right, since most of their friends, family, and fellow church members believe the same, so they can't comprehend why anyone else would think differently.
