Why does God make it to where kids grow soo fast?

I mean. Gosh!! In three years of life, a child learns to walk, talk, smile, and all that!! And then once you get to 25ish (So it seems) you just...slowly age. Why? Why doesn't make it to where you gradually grow up, then at the end just all of a sudden get old and died? It's just never made since to me.

I don't think God makes kids grow fast, it seems like yesterday I was a kid playing in the street. Now, I'm a kid that has been working for many years.

humans are long-lived... other mammals are weaned and on their own within weeks or only a few months... you get to keep your little one around for nearly 20 years! (only 20 if you are lucky!)
might you consider reading books on life and death instead of yahoo! blogs?
