If you will bring me a beer and the remote, I will think this over and get back to you. Don't go too far away, I might need another beer.

This is a question, i havn't come across, its kind of common sense actually. First of all, a driver's license is only one form of identification when needed to buy alcohol or cigarettes at a store. Just because a driver's license is used to identify a person of age at a liquor store, it isn't promoting "drinking and driving"... ALSO, bars have parking lots to promote customers, yes, but not to promote intoxication behind the wheel. The parking lots are efficient for lets say, designated drivers, and maybe even the people who are planning on drinking that night. They may drive to the bar but take a cab home, saving half of the money they would've spent if they took a cab there and back. =)

Driver's liscences are good for Identifying a person. It's the common medium for identification to see if you're of age to buy liquor, which is 21 where I live. They don't expect you to drink while you're driving, they expect you to port the alcohol back to your location and drink it there. That's why there are parking lots; they're there to hold your car. Think of a grocery store. Do you eat everything you buy in the car? No! you take it home and put it in the fridge. It's the same thing. Good question.

So designated drivers have some place to put their car while they come in and drag your drunk *** out of the bar. Then, when they are done for the night they can stop at the liquor store, buy a six pack and take it home with them. Any more questions?

For your first question, because a driver license is a legal ID with proof of age. And as for the parking lots, I guess the drunks need a place to park their cars.

You do not need a driver's license if you have another form of picture I.D. with proof of age on it. College I.D., passport, State issued I.D. (states will issue these to folks who do not have a driver's license), etc. can also be presented when asked for I.D.

so that you save your life and that of someone else. you should not drink and drive anytime. if you want to drink, drink at home and don't drive. it is like talking on the cell phone, people don't pay attention and they get into an accident, killing themselves or some one else
