I would say cash, gift cards or pre-paid credit cards. That way you don't have to worry about getting them a duplicate gift (especially if they aren't registered) And they can use the cash or cards to get the little extravagances they probably wouldn't get as wedding gifts (Cd's, DVDs, clothes, inexpensive furniture, etc...)

Have a good time at the wedding!

if they aren't registered, that means they want money. this gives you serveral option. write them a check. or you can give them a gift card to home depot or bed bath and beyond.

it isn't weird to give cash at all. It's absolutely appropriate... Depending on the region, there are different traditions. In the Northeast, there is usually a moneybag. It's called that because most people do not bring gifts to the wedding... They bring a card and the card goes into the "money bag".

Or, you can give them a savings bond...

It depends a lot on the couple. Personally I hate giving out cash for weddings - it just feels odd to me.

If they already live together or on their own, they probably have the essentials they need. You could get a picture frame engraved with their names and the wedding date, or just a nice crystal or pretty picture frame.

If they don't live on their own you could get them things for around the house. I mean even stuff like bowls and utensils and stuff, you can find some really fun-looking or artistic things. Vases, decorative things, just anything you think they would like.

If you don't want to give cash, give them a giftcard to a place they might like to shop for household thing. Target and BedBath&Beyond are a good place to get a giftcard. If you wanted to get a gift look to see if they have a registary. If they don't and you know the bride/groom pretty well ask them what they could really use. It's better than getting them something that they don't need or already have.

If they are going somewhere tropical for their honeymoon, make them a beach package! Check out Breezy Beach Wear at www.breezybeachwear.com. In their apparel section, they have two T-shirts. One says Island Bride and the other says Island Groom. You can get each of them one of these shirts and then add another smaller item from the surf accessory page. They will love it! Themed gifts are the best!

When my husband and I got married (I was 19), I found that the gifts that I actually enjoyed the most were gift cards. We pooled all of ours together and bought a nice camera. You can never go wrong with giftcards!

Gift card to Target. It seems the young ones like to shop there. If you do get something off the registry, make sure they take it off. My daughter got tons of duplicate gifts.

Go big - at least $150. One day you'll get married and they'll return the gift!

Money was the thing that came in handy most for my husband and I. We were 19 and 20. That way people didn't get us things we didn't need and we could buy what we wanted for our new house which was a fixer upper lol.
