Here's my question. If Satan is the greatest of LIARS and is trying to harvest souls for hell, couldn't he be lying to the world by starting RELIGION as we know it and telling all the followers that he is God, and that they should follow him? How would we really know the difference?

How many wars have been started and fought over religion? How many people have died, not by the hand of God, but by the hands of religious followers? Religion can be linked to Torture and punishments beyond comprehension. How many priest have been caught defiling children? Spanish inquisition, Salem witch trials, crusades...etc

I don't see how a true God would need a religion of any kind for people to believe in. Wouldn't the continuous belief in God be enough for someone? All god needs is the faith. Not Money.

Doesn't this promise of life everlasting and happiness in heaven for all eternity sound more like a lie the devil would tell to get you to sign his contract, than the words of God

Well said! After all, is he not supposed to be 'master of Lies'? I reckon that includes the best lie of the lot-the Double-Bluff!
Better still, in In the Psalms, Yahweh is depicted as Baal and his dwelling is on Mt. Zaphon (Zion), the locale of Baal in Canaanite(Hebrew) mythology. Now Baal, was actually a vengeful, warring, evil kind of god that hated the other gods. He was the self-proclaimed lord of the sky. In Hebrew, Baal means "Lord". In Hebrew, Zebub means "of those in the sky" or " of those who fly". See where I'm going...?
Baal-Zebub was his name. The translation is commonly corrupted to "Lord of the Flies", or, as christians LOVE to call him...'God', 'Lord' or even 'Yahweh'!

We have the word of God - the Bible and yes there is confusion in the christian religion world caused by Satan that is why we need to follow the Bible only;

The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119:105; Prov. 30:5, 6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 4:12.)

All humanity is now involved in a great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty over the universe. This conflict originated in heaven when a created being, endowed with freedom of choice, in self-exaltation became Satan, God's adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He introduced the spirit of rebellion into this world when he led Adam and Eve into sin. This human sin resulted in the distortion of the image of God in humanity, the disordering of the created world, and its eventual devastation at the time of the worldwide flood. Observed by the whole creation, this world became the arena of the universal conflict, out of which the God of love will ultimately be vindicated. To assist His people in this controversy, Christ sends the Holy Spirit and the loyal angels to guide, protect, and sustain them in the way of salvation. (Rev. 12:4-9; Isa. 14:12-14; Eze. 28:12-18; Gen. 3; Rom. 1:19-32; 5:12-21; 8:19-22; Gen. 6-8; 2 Peter 3:6; 1 Cor. 4:9; Heb. 1:14.)

The priesthood of a god doesn't always have to reflect the god's given message. People often take God's message - the Bible, for instance - and corrupt it to fit their own world view.

After all, we still have free will - theoretically, at least. We can do what we want, you know? So why not take the message of God and make some kind of profit from it?

It's not Satan that does it, but selfish, self-centered, and self-righteous humanity. Satan just whispers in their collective ear.

But it's an interesting theory of yours, all the same. I'll have to think about that.

Dear,
if God appears in human body, he will have to pay for all sins of the world. Therefore, because of heavy load of suffering, you cannot see that he is God. If he is real God, for him is not important if you have faith or not. He just do what he is supposed to do - to save the world.
Because this question is hard, let me tell you this: Suppose that Satan is born. If Satan ruins himself, then he fights his own nature. If he falls in hell of incesant suffering and destroy all the evil he has, then he has some part of God inside.
If Satan appear, why he is ruining his nature? There must be God that fights the Satan. The battle of one person inside him can save the world. Everybody should win the battle.

It says in revalation, Satan will do very that, Satan will come and fool most of the people, and many nations will follow, the important thing to remember, is to only trust the specifics in the Bible, satan can take on any form, and uses lies, deceit, and trickery for all the basis to win souls, we must always be true to everything the Lord teaches, and if we feel something is off, it probably is.

I think all religion is blasphemes. How could anyone think that a true god would want or need worship. A true all-powerful being would need nothing of the sort. I think you are right in a way. Church is a way for people who pose as right to get RICH. I mean look at Rome. The church has so much money it is crazy. What do they need all that money for. You would think that a true religion would need nothing of the sort. I say get a life and get a clue.

No....that's twisted theology....truth is, all the evils mentioned are caused by man submitting to the evil of Satan & handing over their lives to him....don't you know for everything there is a reciprocal opposite? If we followed God's plan in the Bible [a perfect/divine plan at that] and submitted our undivided faith and will to Him....ALL OF US.... alot of this would be dispensed with, but even the most righteous person whoever lived [Jesus], was confronted with insurmountable evil against Him....we live in Satan's world as he has it temporarily, but our focus is designed to not be on the world & the evils therein, but on the Eternal where GOD reigns, has always reigned, and forever shall reign.

You are talking about religion. Religion always plays into the devil's hands. But Christianity is another matter. It is a personal relationship with the God of the universe and His Son. Where ritual, organization, and such helps that relationship, it is OK. But it's awful easy to slip into religion.

it is one in all those causes that faith makes no experience. because you've a very valid element the following. you could stay with the help of Gods word, yet please in no way do some thing that ought to damage you. construction a courting with someone (human or ...in the different case) who ought to tempt you to do belongings you p.c. out as incorrect is purely not valuable to you, nor will or not that's valuable to devil. you won't be able to substitute devil for the extra valuable, so there should be actual no reward from this. No, you're literally not hating God for coming up devil. If I drew a image and also you probably did not like it, ought to that advise you don't like me?

IF the bible was even remotely true, "God" is Satan.

There is no other explanation.

You are correct that if "God" existed, he would need no book, religion, preachers, priests or anything else. His message would be universally available to all regardless where they lived, when they lived, or what they believed.

The bible is a book of mythology.
