Since the church is supposed to help the meek and do for them what Christ would do, I feel that He would leave it to the church who would then do all they can with it to help the meek. A popular saying comes to mind (forgive me if I don't get it exactly right) "Give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime". The meek might need teaching or guidance in how to spend the money.

We're talking theories here, are we not? The meek are not necessarily poor. The "church" is not poor either. Specific parishes and/or congregations may be considered poor by average standards of the "church" The church struggles looking (??) for ways to divide the wealth. The "church" is among the wealthiest "entities" on earth when adding up the value of the land, facilities, assets and cash available to it. Seems the church has not yet figured out a way to use J's true legacy. More adherence to "faith" is needed. Trust isn't there.

If Jesus was a billionaire, he probably would have left his money in a Trust Fund to benefit the newly created Christian Church, with Paul as the trustee.

The church does not necessarily mean that all who go there are true christians. It would be left to those who are serving him the right way and that would be the meek! Then it becomes the meek's duty to help those who are in need.

Give unto Caesar's the things that are Caesar's and give the rest to the meek. They are the heirs to the kingdom.

Jesus WAS a billionaire - in godliness, wisdom and in spirit. He has already bequeathed those riches to the meek.

Jesus said the poor with be with us always. Matthew 26: 11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. He was God manifested in the flesh. He has all power, why would He ever have money? He already owns all because He created it. Ephesians 3: 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Well, since the meek will inherit the earth, I'd say the meek. Oh, and the meek are His church.

The meek, of course. I'm sure he'd view the churches of today in the same light as he viewed the Pharisees of his day.

Not if he was - he is - all the world is his and all that is in it - and he gives it to the just and unjust alike - as he is not a respecter of persons - he meets the needs of all each and every day if we just let those needs be met by him in his way - does this mean we will all be healthy, wealtlhy, and wise - no that's a false religious teaching - but it does mean so of us will and some of us won't - some of us cannot be responsible with those kinds of gifts where as others can be.

I think Jesus would hate the church in it's current state.
