I am trying to learn about other Christian denominations. Plese tell me what the basic beliefs are such as salvation, baptism, communion, marriage, afterlife. I truly would like to learn what my fellow Christians believe and practice.

How much of these differences would you consider crucial?

And yes I am trying to find out what we have in common as well as different. I truly believe that we have more in common and need to focus on that as brothes and sisters of the Cross.

I'm Presbyterian and I'll give you a few things that may be different.
When you're baptized, you're sprinkled with water.
We have a piano in our church and we sign hymns.
If you pray to ask for forgiveness and believe in God, you will be forgiven, we don't ask for forgiveness from a clergy - I think that's what it's called.
You marry once and you're never supposed to get divorced. You're supposed to work things out.
We don't have a pope.
We can have a man or woman minister.
We don't call it mass - we call it a church service.
You're babtized as a baby most of the time - not an adult.
If you do something awful that disobeys the ten commandments, if you pray to ask for forgiveness, you will be forgiven.
I've had both a woman and a man minister, and right now, we have a man minister. Oh yeah - we call them priests or ministers.
I really do hope this answered your question for Presbyterians.
God bless you.

Many denominations share similar beliefs. But there are some differences, like music in the church. There are some non-instrumental churches of christ. Baptisms are done differently, some churches focus more on different parts of the bible. This is a very good question that would need a much more in depth answer than what I can give here. But I don't think that the differences really matter. The Lord weights the heart remember? I think as long as we do our best we will be okay. Good intentions and trying your best should out weigh our differences.

Do you REALLY know what Catholics believe?
I wonder, there is a lot of false Junk out there about the church of Peter and the Apostles.
I know that Assemblies of God are very into the Charismatic gifts and that each congregation is able to set their own individual doctrines pretty much. I know that Greek Orthodox are similar to Catholics, they have a prelate, and a similar mass. But they feel even more strongly in the presence of Jesus Body in their communion(Eucharist?). similarly the Russian Orthodox, but I don't know their exact belief in the Eucharist.
I'm pretty sure that Methodists believe that their communion bread is just bread that is shared together as a sign of unity.
The Mormons Do Not accept the Deity of Christ(as far as I know) nor the indivisibility of the Trinity, and therefore should not be considered Christian

I can't believe it. There's always someone who wants to quote everything on this little answer page!
Look, if you really want to know what other Christian denominations believe, then don't ask this nut-so group. Use your computer and make a list of the denominations your interested in, then go to their websites. Almost all list their beliefs and/or doctrines. Then, search for the similarities and differences to understand why they believe they need to stand apart from the others. It's called doing your homework, not asking for the answers from the peanut gallery.

All Baptized brothers and sisters in Christ are members of the same Church in a way---Us Catholics consume the Body and Blood and Soul and Divinity of Christ and so we have his life within us. We are at the Heavenly banquet at each Mass whereas the other denominations that do not have this supper must wait until the last day but, Christ is not divided. The Church that said that---I don't know about the aka stuff---I suspect that what they told you was just not what you wanted to hear but I do not think they told you you were going to Hell and all that. I think that is something you yourself read into what they said.

As a Pentecostal, I differ from Baptist & Catholic in that I believe in Baptism of the Holy Spirit (which Jesus said would happen) with evidence of speaking in tongues (which happened and Pentecost and which Paul said he did "more than you").
I also believe God inhabits the praise of His people. Dancing, shouting, running, all may be done in Church as a sign of praise.

They all pretty much follow the same beliefs, just slight differences on certain points. For example, some believe in full-emersion baptism, while others just sprinkling. Some do just head dunking.
Why not focus on what we share instead of what separates us?

THE THREE HEAVENS
There's 3 heavens.
First Heaven = This is also called the firmament or expanse of heaven. It is the heaven where the birds fly and where the clouds give rain. (Gen.1:26; 2:20; 8:2 & 1Kings 18:45)
Second Heaven = This refers to outerspace where the sun, moon and stars can be found. (Gen.22:17 & Exodus 32:13 & Joshua 10:13)
Third Heaven = The Apostle Paul tells us that the heaven of God's abode is the "third heaven." In the Old Testament this is often designated by the phrase "the heaven of heavens." (Joshua 2:11 & Psalms 11:4 & 2Corinthians 12:2 equated with v.4 = paradise)
THERE ARE TWO KINGDOMS: ONE ON EARTH AND THE OTHER ONE COMING DOWN FROM HEAVEN.
The 1st Kingdom of Heaven =
DAN.7:27 = "AND THE KINGDOM AND DOMINION, AND THE GREATNESS OF THE KINGDOM UNDER THE WHOLE HEAVEN, SHALL BE GIVEN TO THE PEOPLE OF THE SAINTS OF THE MOST HIGH, WHOSE KINGDOM IS AN EVERLASTING KINGDOM, AND ALL DOMINION SHALL SERVE AND OBEY HIM."
REV.5:10 = "AND HAST MADE US UNTO OUR GOD KINGS AND PRIESTS: AND WE SHALL REIGN ON THE EARTH."
The 2nd kingdom of Heaven =
AFTER 1,000 YEARS = A NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH-HOLY CITY COMING DOWN FROM HEAVEN = REV.21:1-4; ISAIAH 65:17-25; 66:1,22 AND ETC.
SO HERE'S WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO---
ISAIAH 66:21; ZECH.14:9-11 = "BUILD HOUSES, PLANT VINEYARDS, EAT VINEYARDS"
ISAIAH 66:23; ZECH.14:16-19 = "WORSHIP FROM ONE NEW MOON TO ANOTHER AS ONE SABBATH TO ANOTHER"
JESUS WILL BE GIVING CITIES TO THE SAINTS INWHICH THEY WILL BE TEACHING OTHERS THE TRUE MESSAGE OF THE BIBLE = MATT.25:14-23; EZEKIEL 36:10,33; LUKE 13:26; ISAIAH 61:4
WE WON'T MARRY OR BE GIVEN UNTO MARRIAGE = MATT.22:30
BOYS AND GIRLS WILL BE PLAYING IN THE STREETS = ZECHARIAH 8:4-5,8
MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH = PSALM 37:9-11; MATT.5:5; REV.5:10
