I love being this brown color I am but if I was a couple of shades lighter than I would be able to model in more markets than just the US, Africa, and parts of London. So thats the basis behind my question. Please no suggestions of skin bleachers.

If you use body buff (like an exfoliate) on your body and use lotion after, the dead skin cells will rub off and that could make it lighter. Also, put suncrean on always even if you have no intention of outdoor activities. However, why does light have to be beautiful? Some of the most beautiful models are very dark skinned from Kenya, Somalia, etc., and if you're confident with that, then you have nothing to worry about- unless you're ashy!!

A bit of lemon will clear the skin and lighter foundation make up is ok to use, but ... it is a bad idea to tattoo yourself white.
It is better to change your attitude and marketing strategy than to alter your skin.
You look great girl. There are not many dark (exotic) models.
Enjoy and market your best feature, you stand out in a white background!

See you can apply lemon and cucumber juice to obtain a lighter complexion especially if you suffer from pigmentation.
Never touch your face with ur hand as it makes it diry and oily.
You can also use curd (Yoghurt) but not everyday.
and appreciate what you have. I have seen really fair and ugly girls too. You are pretty nice looking. I am a brown skinned indian male and i am pretty ok with my color.

Between your screen name and your question you've made yourself look like an idiot. You clearly don't love your skin colour. Do black women a favour and bleach yourself beyond recognition so we don't have to claim you as one of our own. Seriously, why must you play to the racists and bigots out there with this type of stupid question and attitude, you just give them more ammunition. If you're not appealing to other markets, then you're not supposed to be modelling in them, if you really want their acceptance and business, work harder.

We are never happy in the color of our own skin. Talk to women who spend 100s of dollars trying to darken their skin, so be glad. Also talk with MJ if you get a chance....
