you can in any state contact the health and human resorces ,, or the social security office they have a program called s.s.i they will help you.

Check with the American Cancer Society FIRST. They help all over the US. You didn't state a type of cancer either - because there are organizations for breast cancer, etc. -- or is it for a person under 18? Check Shriners (related to Masons). I know they help kids but they might help adults too. If they don't they can probably guide you in the right direction. THERE WILL BE A GROUP SOMEWHERE to help even if they aren't directly in North Carolina.

You may want to contact Duke.
Also may want to talk to your Oncologist and also Hospice many times they know places that may be able to help.
