~~when i taught sunday school some of the favorite activities were, nature walks... we called it God made it... and we would collect things like rocks, flowers, tall grass, stuff like that, then we would go back to the class and glue the stuff to posterboard and they would finger paint the rocks and the paper and themselves... i always kept a large supply of old t-shirts to put over their clothing to protect their clothing... didn't matter if the t-shirts got messy, but the sunday best didn't make parents too happy when that got messed up~~Bj

sidewalk chalk is great. you can make sidewalk paint with flour + water + food coloring and a little bit of dish soap. then paint with your fingers or a paintbrush (large paintbrush). Go to the library during story hour. You can even check out some home-schooling books for the preschool level for some crafty ideas. See if your community has a "freebie" day at any of the local pools. practice cutting paper with safety scissors (little ones always feel grown up when they cut unwanted coupons from the newspaper!). Two year olds think just about everything is neat - take a walk outside and just find stuff.

My son used to love to sit in his high chair & i would give him some washable markers to play with. That's how I taught him his abc's & to count & his shapes & colors. We had so much fun. Then he also had a magna doodle. I would teach him those things on that to. He knew all these things by the time he was one. Plus we had lots of fun. I used to play music & we would dance around the room. Umm....if we ever got our hands on a big box there were unlimited possiblities there! We had a house, a spaceship, a car...skys the limit. We worked those giant puzzles together to that were the same size as him. He liked those. Then we just played with his toys. I would try to get up early in the morning & get most of the cleaning done b4 he woke up so that we had all day to learn & play. Hide n seek. Who can hop the longest....we had so much fun. When it was time for me to cook I would just give him some favorite toys or put in a favorite movie & he would entertain himself until I was available to play again. Sometimes I might have to stop for the occasional hug.. We used to go walking every evening after supper to for 1 & 2 hours at a time. We would of course stop to investigate anything that caught his eye. This is when we would also talk about God & how he made the sky, the birds, the trees & how much he loves us. And we would visit the neighbors along the way. : )...children are such a blessing...enjoy every minute you have with your little one. They grow up too fast. God bless. : )

the sole time we are particularly caught interior the homestead is whilst it fairly is raining particularly perplexing. it fairly is whilst we do a super variety of colouring with crayons, paint, or play with play doh. different than that, even on particularly chilly days we get bundled up and choose for a effective stroll and nonetheless flow to the park. i could desire to be freezing, yet my daughter basically has this way of reliable time outdoors. Even in gentle rain, we've placed on rain jackets and jumped in puddles. i could sense undesirable conserving her interior basically because of the fact i'm the only that's chilly or lazy, so I suck it up and face the chilly!

Crayola Mess Free Markers are WONDERFUL My son is not quite 2 yet and he loves them. He will sit for 30 minutes and scribble on the paper and it doesn't get on their skin or on the table. I made cookies (From a mix) yesterday and I put his booster chair on the bar stool and let him stir the butter and eggs and he loved that too...especially loved eating what he helped make.
