I prefer the more tailored look of the buttoned-down flap in a contrasting, but complimentary color with large decorative buttons. When making the bed, place the button side down at the top so when you turn it back with the top sheet, it creates a finished look. You can also make custom shams using the same concept. I turn mine inside out to clean so as not to catch the buttons on anything. Good luck with yours!

buttons! It is easy to clean the duvet and down when you do this. Snaps and zippers over time rust in the wash and are a real pain in the ***!

I have one with the button flap, and I don't like it- my feet get caught in the overlap.

Personally, I like snaps at the end.

It depends on the look you want. You could make the buttons a decorative accent
Velcro works well, but I would only use small pieces across the length.
Over lap is a good idea too, you can hide it underneath.

I do mine with buttons....It just looks nicer than a flap basically. I have a khaki one and a navy one both with light wood buttons...Very cute!

I would finish it with velcro. . . easy to do and you could do it so that nothing shows (buttons, snaps, etc.)
