Its because you trust and confide so much with the person you are in love with that you leave yourself so vulnerable, naked and open. When another person is let in, so deep within our heart, we take our guard down. So naturally being so exposed makes us insecure wondering if this person we love so deeply, is going to like and love this person within ourself.

Love makes you insecure because you care about that other person alot. You start to worry they like some one else and that your not good enough or not pretty enough. You start worrying more and more and become more insecure and sometimes stop believing them because of it. Love really is a roller coaster of emotions so before you get on be prepared

Because you care too much. It is so much easier when you are the one that either cares less than they do or if you don't care at all. Once you have fallen in love though, you're done for. And you can't really go back to carefree casual flings either - because you know about the next level and exactly what is missing emotionally. Love is grand, but it does make one a nervous wreck at times.

Because love is precious. You don't want to lose the one you love. Insecurity creeps in because you know there is a 50/50 chance that it could end. Don't let it consume you though, if you're in love just focus on that.

I don't think it is love that makes you insecure, I think it is a lack of knowing your best qualities. Sometimes love makes you evaluate who you are and what you bring to the table. Maybe you should figure out what makes you a special person and remain secure in that.

Perhaps the insecurities exist apart from relationships with others. Deal with your insecurity, become happy with yourself and just yourself. Then you will be a whole person and ready to enter relationships with others.
