Me and my husband had a little "disagreement" this past weekend. He thinks that if fish is served for breakfast, it should only be catfish (fried hard). He says talapia is not the proper "consistancy" for breakfast fish. I told him that one can eat what he wants for breakfast as long as it is substanance. And he should just be grateful that he has a wife willing to get up early to make him a nice Saturday breakfast! What do you think? By the way, he ate it anyway, lol... P.S. I told him I was going to ask my friends on YahooAnswers what they think!

I think it's wrong for people to complain when someone takes care of them. I say if he doesn't like what you make then he can make his own breakfast.

Any food is a good breakfast, it doesn't matter if it is last night's leftovers. Be thankful that you have enough to even have a breakfast, when a lot of the world is starving! And yes, your husband should be grateful that you are willing to get up early and fix him breakfast. By the way, when you cook, does he do the dishes? He should, you know. That's how it is at our house. When someone cooks, somebody else washes the dishes. We don't have a dishwasher, by the way. I hope this helps.

I've never heard of serving fish for breakfast. However, I do eat whatever I feel like and it doesn't have to be eggs and toast. Any type of fish is fine. It really depends on the person who's serving it. I don't even cook breakfast for my husband. Therefore, he eats cereal for breakfast.

My co-workers are consistenly teasing for having, RU ready, red beans and rice, lasagna, spaghetti and other "oddities" for breakfast. Come on, where is it written ON STONE, ON THE LAW BOOKS, that certain foods have to be served for breakfast? Look at most of the diners (Denny's, IHOP, Waffle House) their menu usually 24/7 availability. Take Jack-in-the-Box the brother serves the full menu all day. Like I said my co-workers trip when they see me bringing in the fish & chips when I clock in for work.

Breakfast is whatever you eat in the morning. "breakfast food" can be anything. Your husband is a prude, stuck up person. Tell him to lighten up it's just food. There are so many other things in life to be grateful for. Petty, mindless arguments such as his shows selfishness. God love you for putting up with a person like that.

Well if you like having fish for breakfast, I do not see what is wrong with it. Talapia is not what I would call a fishy fish, it is nice solid white fish. Personally with my eggs, I like sausage! :)

Have what you like, my hubby and I had paella for breakfast today, and spaghetti Carbonara last Friday for breakfast. Eat what you like; life is for enjoyment, not splitting hairs.
