lets say there is no god. if so how would that change your perspective on life or on how you treat others in general?
would you live for yourself or would you continue to work to make this world a better place for all?

Clearly some people ^^^^ don't understand hypothetical situations. They can't imagine a life without god. I mean, why would they need imagination when every thought is planned out for them?

For me, personally, I would simply live my life as I have: compassionate to others and guided by my own moral compass.

Nothing would change.

If there was no God, I would really want to know what kind of future there would be for me. What would be my reason for living? Would the world come to an end. Would I be living in this misery everyday for the rest of my life? Who would control when I die? Who would control destiny? The answer would be each and everone of us and I think that it would be a world of chaos.

But serioulsy I have been a good girl all my life, I would live for myself just for once. I would just do some really crazy things which includes getting drunk, having wild sex, robbing a few banks (nah just kidding!...lol..)...I guess just basically do some of the things that I have never done.

I would continue to treat others with respect and try as much as possible to make the world a better place. So the answer is, that I would do all the things I can do which includes good and bad things. I'd be a bad person if I decided to do the bad things and I would be too much of a good person to do all the good things. So I'd go for the inbetween. And interesting enough, with no God there would be nothing named sin or good or evil. So I'd just live my life how I feel when I get up each day. Do you get my point?

I would continue to work to make this world a better place for all. God means everything to me, but knowing that He's there doesn't mean I have to do things that I do. I know He's watching, and I know that He will love me through the good and the bad. I'm not a selfish person and doing things for others that will help them is what I do best.

I believe it would changes perspectives for a lot of people. Many people do good in life to try to end up in Heaven when its all over.
For you to say that their is no God, means there would probably not be a Heaven or Hell. If good people & bad people end up in the same place anyways, some may have, or develop that "Don't Care Anymore" attitude and join the criminals.

I wouldn't change at all. Even if for the sake of argument, as you say, there was no God, I would continue to live my life as I already am. First of all, it's alot less problematic, you know, without using drugs, committing adultry , and the like. I would still stay out of alot of trouble by living life as I already do.I'm happy, very happy, actually. Thank You>

God or no God, I would still continue to work to make this world a better place for all?

I wouldn't change my behavior, but I would be tormented by despair, because I would know that all efforts to better the lot of human beings are doomed to end, at best, in the heat-death of the universe. Nothing I did would matter beyond the fleeting moment of comfort I might be able to give to a co-inmate of a senseless, meaningless universe where everything human beings treasure is nothing but a "contortion on the idiot face of infinite matter." Read Camus to see where even noble atheism ends.

There is a God. He is as real as you or me. If there was not God, I think a lot of people would be more evil because they would have no reason to think that it was bad to kill another human, or to rob people or anything because if there wasn't a God, there would not be a hereafter either. If there wasn't a hereafter, who would care what happened. But if you have the idea that God is not real, you need to get down and pray until
God saves you from yourself.

Most would live for themself, I mean lets face it you would only have so much time left before in the ground you go FOREVER. Thats the trick behide religion, it gives you and the planet something to look forward to, and it maintains some sort of peace on the planet, thats a secret (they) the powers that be, can never let out.

I would still try to make the world a better place. Its just the right thing to do. Remember what goes around comes around. What you put out comes back to you and I would rather that be love and kindness not hate and hurtfulness.
