I've pretty much been dieting on/off for about 5 years now! Been through a lot of different dieting pills, bulimia... etc! I just want to be normal and enjoy life without obsessing about my weight!!

Being a recovering Bulimic, I found that just finding something to completely tune out your addiction is best. I used to paint, but I've been so busy so I haven't painted in forever. Maybe I'm not a "success" story yet because even though I don't binge anymore the thoughts still haunt me. Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but this will be something you deal with for the rest of your life. It's something you need to learn to manage and control. Find something to do with someone, something that can make you proud of yourself and have someone there to enjoy it with. Alone activities I would discourage, since being alone to think about yourself so intensely is what probably drove you to this anyway. find a friend, ask your mom- do something that will help you focus away from your disease and make SURE you have someone there to not only share the moment, but help to encourage and push you through recovery. I really hope this helps. And i understand and empathize with your situation. I've been "recovering" since 2006 but am still plagued by the disease daily. I hope you find your solution quickly :)

I hope your obsession with your body subsides soon. Have you seen a therapist yet, if not, please check out the Weight and Eating disorder's Clinic at The Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. Next, why don't you and a few friends get together and visit Africa, and check out their customs.

You should really consider seeing a nutritionist. They would be able to help you figure out what eating plan is right for your body type, and how you can eat to stay healty and make sure your getting the right nutrients.

then stop dieting right now!!!! just remember that weight is not an issue. seek medical, professional help if you have to. but, please try to accept your weight as who you are and do not put so much emphasis on it.

Have you tried counseling? I don't know if you have or not. Also, do you have a friend that is willing to help you?
