Then why do some Christians who believe this also believe you can loose and regain your salvation many times? This passage teaches it can only happen once because it is IMPOSSIBLE to be renewed...

Wiregrassfarmer has the closest answer to your question. Except there is a debate of if a _Christian_ CAN blaspheme the Holy Spirit. This blasphemy IS the Unforgivable Sin. However, it is said it is one that isnt spoke of. I'm thinking it isnt spoke of so no one gets an idea to test or challenge this. And b/c God is the one who judges on this, strictly and completely between God and the person.
You may be thinking of Christians who have strayed and when they come back they 'rededicate' their lives to Jesus.

" Create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right spirit within me, cast me not away from they presence oh lord and take not they Holy spirit from me, restore unto me the joy of my salvation and renew a right spirit within me." A psalm of David

DAVID!... Old testement

The birth, life and death and ressurection of Jesus Christ is the new covenant and all of the old ways are made new.

In the old testament, the only way to cleanse sin was through a blood sacrifice by a sacrificial lamb to have the animal take on your sin as in a scapegoat a blood sacrifice to cover the sin of the repentent man and only a temple elder could perform the rite.

That is why they call Jesus the lamb of God and the Final sacrifice because with his death and ressurection he took the sins of everyone and gave his own blood in place of the lamb and his own life so that we would never have to experience of know spiritual death.

We have to ask for it because man has free will and once a man is forgiven. The only thing that can un-do it is denying God which was done... and then Jesus said tell me you love me three times to cover the three times that you denied me. and all was well again.

There is no unpardonable sin except for suicide because you die and cannot ask for your own forgivness. It is like saying Gods grace and mercy was not enough. You don't have to ask for anything, you don't have to believe in any of it, but it is like every other system and law in the universe, it consists of rules and laws that have to be abided by if you want to have the end result it holds. Why is that any more right or wrong than spitting into the wind. You don't do it because it'll come back and hit you in your mug. People actually respect and abide by riles and understand consequence and policing but they think God is a bully for being Just. I don't understand.

You cannot lose your salvation unless you don't want it anymore.
like an athiest... They don't want it, Walah... you aint gettin it. it's not magic.

People think God imposes these things. Every single part of christianity is a choice. There are rules to this entire world... The rule of gravity, the law of cause and effect, yet Newton and Gallelio are revered and Jesus Christ is hated and questioned. Personally I don't get it.

No it doesn't. When you are saved you are saved by Grace. This is a free gift from Jesus. This nothing you deserve. If you could lose your salvation then you would do so everytime that you sin. Stop worrying and trust Jesus. Every Christian asks this question, but they need not worry.Jesus has promised that he will never leave nor forsake.

Do you think that Satan stop temtping you after you accept Jesus? How come David fell many times and went back and ask for forgiveness, if he didn't he would be lost. Look at Saul he was choosen by God but in the end he was lost - he committed suicide.

Those who read the record of the Gospels carefully will find repeated authority from Jesus to renounce the doctrine of eternal security. In Luke 12:42-46 Christ described in another parable how a faithful servant could turn into an unfaithful one. After asking, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household . . . ?" Jesus answers His own question: "That servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing . . . he will make him ruler over all that he hath." Then Christ explains how that servant could lose his reward. "But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers."

No, a true Christian cannot lose his/her salvation. It's not something you have to work for. You receive it by belief in Christ through grace...that's it. However, your relationship with Christ is a journey through life. It has many peaks and valleys...that's how God changes our hearts & increases our faith - through circumstances.

You would never denounce Christ if you were a TRUE believer. You can be MAD b/c of things in your life, but you could never turn your back forever.

The bible is contradictory on the losing/keeping/regaining salvation thing. Look at the Calvinism and Arminianism schools of thought on that.

You can lose it through blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. This is the only unforgiveable sin according to Jesus. The rest, if you are truly repenting, will be forgiven

No, you are correct. It means that once someone has been saved, and they fall away, they do not need to be "saved" again because there is no need to crucify Christ over again. They just need to come back to God and ask forgiveness once again.

I have fallen away many times, but God always brings me back and each time He draws me closer.

The thing is, only God can decide when it truly and irrevocably is "lost", or if that person has stumbled, but God will be able to help them up again.
