I will be in Cologne Germany August 17-20. What should I see and do? River Cruise? Castles?

I am 26 and am traveling with my mom & dad for the first time in years. I need some interesting things to do with them by day and some nightlife ideas for myself and my sister.

Here some ideas for the day:
- Definitely visit the "Dom" - the cathedral in Cologne - and make sure you go up on the roof, there is a platform there with a great view
- Take a river cruise to the "Loreley"
- Visit the Roman museum (its actually next to the Dom)
- Roam the old town and then walk over the bridges to the Beachclub on the other side of the rhine to relax
- Take the cable car over the Rhine (nice view)
- Watch a 1.FC Köln (the cologne soccer team) game
- Visit the local breweries and sit in a nice beer garden (the Stadtgarten is a nice place)
- Go shopping
- Visit the Zoo

For nightlife:
- Start with the "Friesenplatz" and "Friesenstr.", there are a lot of places to hang out: All Bar One, Heising & Adelmann, Lover's Club, Dos Equis
- Go clubbing for example in the Ivory or Triple A
- Finish your night in the "Klein-Köln"

Have fun, Cologne is a great city to go out and have fun, but also many things to see. Let me know if you need more information, I am too tired to write now...
