In many cases 'Yes'....however, not all people are to be 'partnered'.....I will say that in order to have the kind of intimate success of one in the forefront, and one behind the scenes so to speak it is not a question of gender., I am not saying this on account of being gay, as I am not.
We live in a more androgynous society than ever before. The role of "nurturer" is a gender friendly situation moreso than ever.
I would now have to laugh and say this....I have heard it said that "Behind every great man there is even a greater woman rolling her eyes.." ~ it has its place.
We live in such a bruised society that I "SEE" that it willnot change in my lifetime.....you know, to be quite honest, I only realized thgat a few weeks ago and wept.....it was saimply just ne of those things..... I have traveled the world...and the gender factor is treated differently everywhere. Japan was an eye openig experience to say the least. coming from Hawaii...there is far more compassion...and far more a sense of equality...though the standards are set and it is oldfashioned in many ways, yet more progressive in others.
Now, I have been that woman behind 'the man' and trust me I have roled my eyes. the sad thing here is that they would get the credit and extolled in a preaning sense, while I smiled and let it be. Looking back, I could have used some of that credit......howeveer living in the now, what I see is this: It is more he age of "The Woman" more than ever before. It isnt politics per se, not the dynamic of a two parent household working as much as woman are inherent nurturers.... I see this in less affluent neighbourhoods and it strikes me that women are so incredibly revered. The stigma of different genre writing has gone from "Oh that book is written by a man" to....the finesse of women in capacities of mysteries, authors, activists....(they always were...) sisters, confidantes, daughters...the list veribly goes on and on.
Living ...again n suvh an adrogynous society...glass cieling being broken ane this...actually written by a suffregette.......name unknown..."Life is what happens to you while youre busy majking other plans...." ~ it case by case......your question, and my answer....Thank You...

Absolutely not. Behind every great man there an even greater leech. Men become the men they are because of what is inside of them. Women are the opposite. Women become the women that they are because of what everyone else tells them.

As I recall the actual quote is "Behind every great man there is a great woman." However in my experience it takes a special person to allow anyone to excell without taking credit for it.

Not necessarily, He may have grown into a great man out of attempts at surviving a terrible woman. Consider Samson and Delila he was great before her and I do not consider her an even greater woman.

No! That is a competative and ridiculuos statement. The idea is for the two to be equal and accent eachother. each bringing out the best in the other. How is that possible if the two are constantly trying to best eachother as is the idea of this statement. The truth is that if you have the right person for you then you will be your best and that persona will compliment you as an equal, not as your better.

I believe so. men as well as women need that faith and support from their mate. when they make it , half of the reason that they do is because their loved one didn't give up on them. motivation goes a long way.
Behind every great woman there is a even greater man as well
......
then again
in front of every woman and man their is God granting them their desire

yes it helps,,, Only if that woman is strong,, only if --- Its some water down azz women running around,,, dont know the true meaning of putting thier foot down.. Just to bossy, lazzy, cant cook, just all screwed in the head about life because they got burned once or twice,,, But A stronger woman, is the generator to that mans back bone - to help gives that push and endurance to handle true bussiness. But this day and time, you really cant find to many good generators.. Woman are falling all kind of traps these days.. Oh Yeah if you find a good running generator, hollow at me!!
