When people answer your questions in Yahoo! answers.. do you like the truth as they give it to you? Why is it that you don't reward the ten points to them? How come?

I've wondered this myself. Sometimes you give someone what is a very heartfelt and true answer and after you'll see that the ten points was given to someone who agreed with whatever viewpoint that it is obvious the question is slanted toward wanting to hear. I think there are just a lot of people who have some kind of predetermined answer to the question that they ask already made up in their mind and whoever comes closest to their preconceived view gets the points. I think why even ask the question if you're not open to new viewpoints.

I've always rewarded the best answer with 10 points. However; I've noticed with others questions, they are not well written questions or the answers are very shallow, which is disappointing when people out there generally need real help.

I do. If someone gives a correct answer, they get ten points, whether I enjoy the truth or not. Good question!

I think that the truth to a person's question is why they put it on here. They can ask a question to complete strangers and not be embarrassed. So I think we should give everyone a truthful answer..

Not always at first, but in the long term it probably helps.

I agree. If someone is telling the truth just give them the ten points.

I try to provide the facts and be truthful in all my answers. Haven't asked any questions yet as I haven't hit anything that I can't find answers to locally.

I overlook each answer and if its factual and informative then I reward 10. If i cannot chose a good answer then I will put it up for voting.

When asking a question, many people don't want to hear the truth; often, they are looking for validation. When they don't the validation they seek, they just ignore us.

I love the truth, and reward accordingly.

You can only give one person 10 pts. That's the bummer of it. So you pick what you perceive to be the best of the best.
