Why doe man - yeah we keep asking why god - but why not ask why does man let children die of starvation

There is never going to be one true religion. Everybody wants theirs to be right, so they will force those opinions on others, just like almost all christians do. Those missionarys that travel to third world countries to provide shelter, they almost always try to convert that little town or village or whatever to christianity. I think that the starvation problem is God's fault because he doesn't help when they need it, however what do you think of disease? God created every living thing, and that includes disease. Why would he create these things if he was such a loving God? And if you really read the bible, he only became a "loving God" after the Old Testament when his Son died for our sins. In the Old Testament, he killed children for teasing an old man. How did he kill them? He sent a starving bear to eat them. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their beliefs. God was a vengeful God in the Old Testament. That is precisley why I don't believe in God, Jesus, especially not the Bible. Who wrote the Bible? Man, who were supposedly spoken to by God. These men could have very well been crazy. Who knows. The Bible was originally written in an ancient language that I can't spell, and most was lost in translation. Also, the church didn't put anything in the bible that went against their religion, like the book of Mary Magdalene. But a question I do pose to everyone saying it is the government's fault they are dying of starvation is why couldn't God put more food on this earth so that we would never have to worry about world hunger again?

Children die of starvation as a result of man's free will. If you are that concerned about it, go feed a starving child.

I subscribe to a theory called "soul making," in which every soul enters the world incomplete and through the trials and tribulations a person goes through inday to day life, their soul achives the state it needs to be in to achive heaven. That is the best answer I have heard for the "Why do bad things happen to good people" argument.

Besides... if he's doing things right, you won't be sure if he's done anyhting at all.

He doesn't. He gave us a free will, and people die of starvation because of the evil that people invited into the world with their free will.

After the sin of Adam and Eve in the garden, God was forced to leave this earth. That is when evil came in, for evil is the absence of God.

Would you rather have had God create us with no free will and no ability to make our decisions? That would have been the only way for perfection to have remained- if God was in complete control. But we are not robots, and as a result take part in evil. If God was just to save every single person and solve every single problem, He would be violating our free will and so would be contradicting Himself.

Good question! Why does God "allow" evil to happen? With plenty of food in the world for all people, starvation can only be explained by the evil and depravity of mankind. Why does God allow evil men and women to live? Should He instead kill them before they do evil deeds? Should He judge murderers and rapists now? What about thieves and liars, adulterers, fornicators, those who lust, and those who hate? If God judged evil today, all unconverted men and women would perish under His wrath. Thank God that He is patiently waiting for them to turn to the Savior and be saved from His terrible wrath.

The Teflon God, that's what I like to call him. It's never his fault for anything. If a child is born deformed, somehow it's the childs fault, or his parents, or somebody besides the Teflon God.

Yet when something good happens, he gets credit.

If you're looking for any Christian to even come close to admitting the Teflon God is at fault for anything, you will be waiting a long time.

Perhaps from God's point of view, we are just children playing in our little
playpen. We are taking our game playing VERY serious, however, God
doesn't view it that way. To him, we are playing war, famine, cops-n-robbers,
etc. We believe in dying. He views this as leaving the playpen to go play
something else.

I know my father wanted more for me than for himself. Perhaps the father
of mankind is just as loving and wishes for us in like manner. This would
explain why he might choose to not only create us in his image but to create
us as equals. Then we would have been the ones deciding to discover what
it might be like to explore separation and limitation. What would God truly
know about limitation. And like someone who is rich pretending to be poor,
the experience would not be as fruitful as someone truly poor or someone
who is rich, but doesn't remember. We've chosen to forget so we may have
a more expansive experience.

We are all unique, with our own free will. Therefore, many thousands of
people may experience starvation with no two being exactly the same. We
take it serious because we have forgotten that we are creating it for the
reason of purity of experience.

Just wanted to share some ideas here. I have had some success in viewing
how we create our unique experiences. Just not the place to share that
information me thinks :o)

I wonder why he let's people not believe in him.
I wonder why he let's you post these questions.
I wonder why.

Seriously though, you think it would be better if everytime something went wrong, that his hand would come out of the sky and fix things? Maybe in a perfect world.

But you have to admit, if you have ever told a lie or got drunk, you would have been mad if God stopped you from doing wrong and had not given you freedom of choice.

It isn't God who's neglecting them, it's us. We'll never learn our wrong ways if God always steps in to fix the problems we make for ourselves. It's just like parenthood; what good does scolding ever do if nothin else happens? The kid just learns to sound sorry, then goes and does whatever he wants anyway. He only learns not to do stupid things when he gets hurt because of it, whether by the results of his actions or through his parents.

Children starve because of the hardness of mans heart. There is plenty of food in the world but not enough people who share it with those who are starving. If we all followed God way and showed that love to others no one would be starving.
